I have never owned a pet until now. Adopted a pitt and, at least, lab mix. She's around 50 lbs. and they're estimating she's 3 years old. Great temperament and she was completely house-trained. She didn't even let me finish putting the first blanket in her crate and she walked under me and laid down and has been at home ever since. This was my first time doing the professional grooming thing. WE are members of total care so we got a discount on grooming. Got the add on for the calming shampoo and the great conditioner and nail buffing and stuff. And, she got a bandana. She gets excited with people, cause she was a Stray and just loves discovering everything with a pac/family. In total its was around 65 dollars before the discount. Geat value!!!!!! Got calming treats, bogo 50% off! And, of course some toys. The staff in the store was super helpful and eager to get me answers. The associate came and found me to give me an answer and suggestion. He was in the fish section. Now, for Celeste, the groomer..... FROM THE DOOR, she radiated positive, friendly energy. She was confident and comfortable around the dogs. She met our baby and let her get a sense of her sense, spoke to her and started building the rapport right away. She answered my questions without hesitation. She had a "tlc-giver" vibe. Often. I've experienced, people in these positions are super dismissive and only working a job for money this definitely requires a love for it. Our baby didn't have a problem at all and didn't put up a fuss going with Celeste. She looked and smells amazing and she wasn't anxious. She was smiling and hype. She was about to fall asleep in the car though. Celeste gave a great vine and I can tell our baby likes her. Book her! I'm definitely gonna try the camp and training for socialization. I'm excited......can't lie I was nervous. Get total care! It's totally worth it. Her checkup is next week at the hospital at petco. I have points and credits built up again and will get some vaccinations and treatments for her, on top of my $15 montly credit. And, discounts..... These are living beings that you chose....be responsible and take care of your furbaby to your fullest ability!
Hakeem did a great job grooming my dog! I know my dog gets scared getting groomed and being away from me in an unfamiliar place, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw Hakeem walking my dog back and his tail was wagging hard before he saw me! I will be coming back to Hakeem for future groomings, the grooming staff of this petco did a great job. My dog looks great.
This trip at this particular Petco was nothing short of a waste and poor customer service. Better management is needed. Although this item has been worn and returned with visible pet hair, this item was scanned in as “Ready for pickup” with an entire part of the costume missing! I traveled more than 40 minutes to pick this costume up and the lack of customer service I encountered was just distasteful. Instead of traveling this way, I could have traveled in the opposite direction to get the costume. Please treat your costumers better and don’t mislead them. After asking if I could receive a discount due to paying for something I would not receive, I was told that I would have to return the item and come back tomorrow. That is utterly ridiculous.
Great customer service. I went in thinking that I would've gotten the usual lack luster service that I've received repeatedly from the Lithonia location but was pleasantly surprised! This will be my new Petco. Definitely worth the extra driving time! Keep up the great work everyone!
The aquatics section is great, the fish seem healthy and the selection is awesome. Joy is very knowledgeable about fish species and will special order specific fish if they don’t have what you are looking for! Lots of live plants as well.
It was OK, I brought to top for my 55 inch aquarium and didn't fit, I had to take it back, there was no problem with the refund, and they have a adoption program outside, dogs, big and small that was lovely. I wanted to get one so bad, I couldn't..
I’m no longer taking my dogs here for grooming. When I dropped them off, I specifically requested for one of my dogs ears to be plucked to avoid irritation and infection. They’d previously cut the hair in her ears low which cause water to soak and sit in her ear and caused an infection. When I picked my dogs up, they did the same thing, cut the hair in her ears lower. They didn’t wash her face, there’s still brown marks from her tears and around her mouth and they cut her ears unevenly. It looks like they focused on my boy and rushed on my girl. I honestly shouldn’t have paid for her cut, but I don’t even get to see the details until I got them home.
It always makes me feel better to walk into this petco location. The staff are always friendly and engaging. The store is always stocked tans the shelves neat and clean. I feel comfortable like I’m at home
My puppy gets groomed at this location and David is the BEST groomer! David is always gentle with my pup as my pup is still not fully familiar to the grooming process. The most important thing about David is that he listens to how I want my pups hair cut. I will keep coming back to this location for the sake of David.
1/14/23 - I showed up for a 10:30 appointment at 10:30 just to wait for the employee to finish his call to then have my appointment canceled because I was told that it wasn’t confirmed even though I made the appointment via phone less than 24hrs prior and it was confirmed via email. I was told that if I can show proof they would kick someone out and let me in. This was said by the Vetco manager female. This wasn’t a good experience. I returned a few days later, the man at the front desk and the dr was very nice and I left somewhat satisfied minus receiving the wrong medication and having to go back simple mistake. Nonetheless, I will never return this location due to their unprofessionalism that’s clearly handed down from the manager. Don’t want to experience more unnecessary inconveniences
