Rachel R did an amazing job grooming my rough collie Everest. I was so nervous I had been brushing & giving her baths by myself but I knew it was time to get her trimmed up. Brushing her twice a week was not getting all the winter coat out. But when I came to pick her up all my worries subsided. Not only did she look properly trimmed. She was happy & that is what matters to me. Rachel made sure to ask several times if she was trimmed to my liking and she could make changes if I wanted. She however did a fantastic job. & she will deff be the groomer I take Everest to from now on.
It was ok, I guess they may have been short staffed because 2 out of 3 days in a row... there were only 2 employees. 1 at the register and on and off the floor. Thanks Tyler and Abby?! The two out on the floor on my 3rd visit were able to help me with all my pet needs. Thank you you guys.
Worst pet store ever. There were 4 Guinea pigs in a cage WAY too small for them. This store won’t even give their Guinea pigs hay, the pigs were sorting through bedding for A PIECE of hay. Not to mention there’s only 1 water bottle for 4 Guinea pigs. I hope this store hires some responsible employees who can spare 5 minutes to feed their Guinea pigs.
Easy to find stuff. And you can't find what you're looking for. The Associates are very kind and will go out of their way to help you find what you're looking for. And if you STILL can't find what you need. The Associates will help find the next best/adequate items, products, goodies for Your pet/baby/buddy/best friend. They're very friendly and professional, and understanding about your needs and or concerns. I've been there at different times of the day. And can honestly say that each time all the workers/Associates are out of their way helpful, and very kind. Obviously professional about their job. But so boring to just explain the employee's that go out of their way.
It may be way better on the other half of the store dogs half so I can't comment on that but I shop for my cat here a few times a month and they don't seem to restock or get new stuff often so the shelves and racks have holes indicating a missing product. They don't have any prices on the whole toy section I've noticed. Nice enough people work there and they are always friendly. Return policy sucks!
I had a lot of fun selecting stuff for my new chameleon. I found vines, greenery, feeding dish, cage, water dripper. Pets aren't cheap, so don't be cheap with them. I found out that if you keep your ml worms in the fridge, they stay alive and last a lot longer. One person had a 500 count in there fridge for a month and they were all still alive. Also don't feed you pet crickets that are bigger then there head. I know the cage looks empty, but I'm getting more stuff from it. It takes time sometimes. So go enjoy yourself. Also, don't be afraid to pick the brains of the knowledge staff.
Don't buy fish here. They never look good. The bubblers for oxygen is rarely running, all the fish look like they are frantic for air. It's truly sad and I'm not sure anyone there cares about them. The other stuff is good, but they tend to run out of all the cat food and litter. So good luck trying to find a brand for your pet to use regularly from there, as it's hit or miss if they will have it in stock.
Petco has been doing better with getting my dog food lately. Only reason I rate a 4 star is because it seems like they only want to carry "Grain-Free" pet food these days. Dogs have evolved to need grains, not eat just meat and veggies.
They need more variety of Pet foods. I had forgotten how limited choices were here, until I went to shop at their competitor. I will say however that they have a very friendly and helpful staff at the Mt View location.
Will was quite possibly the most pleasant person working in customer service I’ve ever met in my life. Thank you for all of your help with our new kitten today! Every store should have their own Will!
