Dr. Bernad and his staff are simply amazing. They listen, do everything they can to help, and are compassionate. Highly recommend!
Absolutely horrible experience. Their office constantly loses paperwork and is extremely disorganized. For months insisted that they submitted Pre approval requests to my insurance for testing, but I called my insurance repeatedly and they never received any requests. I was also charged co-pays for speaking with the doctor for less than a minute over the phone when he told me tests results that I’d already received. Finally after a year and a half of chasing them I had to switch doctors. Even then just to get them to fax the documents took 2 months, and they charged $35 to fax 14 pages, and I had to call them 5 separate times to remind them and confirm. Don’t waste your time.
Dr. Peter bernad is incredible. He takes his time and explains everything to me. He never rushes and make sure he covers all bases. He has even on occasion emailed me to check on me. With his outstanding quality of medical care and his personal interaction, I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Bernad, MD, MPH, FACP is an incredible doctor and teacher. He is extremely caring to patients and AMIQT is a people-centered office. Most of the one star reviews seem to be from impatient people; Dr. Bernad spends a lot of time and consideration on each patient, which occasionally makes him late for the next patient. I see that as a huge plus, not a minus. Dr. Bernad's patients receive some of the best neurological treatment in the world.
I would never recommend Dr. Peter Bernand of Neurology Services to anyone. The front desk secretary John? Jeff? was the rudest person I have ever encountered. He gave me a date to see Dr. Bernard and I called the day before to confirm as I was new to my job and had to seek permission to take time off work no sick leave yet allotted for me. Anyway, this jerkoff tells me I missed my appointment and I owed him $150? What? No, I told him the date and time I scheduled with him and he said "i see what you're doing... you're trying to blame me so you don't have to pay a $150 no-show fee." first off, you can only charge a client a no-show fee if they agree to the no-show fee policy in writing I work in Health Care reform. Secondly, if I indeed had to pay $150 for a missed appointment two weeks ago, why didn't they bill me? Oh that's right, because they only had my name and nothing more. So because I had to be seen for a headache issue, and had the new job, John the secretary lets me in the correct day of the appointment. I go there, and the doctor pawns me off to 3 medical students who proceed to ask me everything off of the medical questionnaire this, after spending 30 minutes filing out said medical questionnaire. Then the med student girl, says "let me check my phone for that medicine" and I can see her iPhone in the window reflection and she's on facebook. At that point, since I had already paid my $40 co-pay and probably would have a parking ticket for being there so damn long I did, I demanded to see the doctor. Dr. Bernard, didn't even consult with his idiot medical school doctors, instead, told me I have a migraine, and RX'd me migraine medicine "for the flashing lights." At no point during my meeting with the med students did I ever mention seeing lights. Only the sharp pain in and out of my left frontal lobe. Be prepared for incompetence here.
In my opinion based on 30 or more years working with doctors and having served 20 or more years in the military including many overseas assignments, I can think of no other doctor more committed and able to help his patients. Veterans with unusual conditions should consider seeking Dr. Bernad's help.
Dr Bernad and his staff have been wonderfully helpful to me. They are very caring but professional. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs a neurologist.
My dad really liked Dr. Bernard. He took almost 2 hrs to diagnose my Dad. My dad he never saw any neurologist who took that much go through the whole diagnostic.
Worst of the worst. Extremely cocky. Took a phone call in the middle of my consultation. Asked irrelevant questions that had nothing to do with me or the issue I was in for. RUDE and demeaning! I would never recommend him to anybody.
Wonderful caring physician.
