Peterman Lumber

This is a pretty unique lumber yard for Vegas. They have all sorts of exotic woods, definitely not your typical Lowe's or home depot. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. The staff was very helpful. When I first looked online I believe it said this location was a distribution center, but you can totally go in and look around. They also have a smaller scrap bin with individual pieces priced. I'll definitely be taking my business there.

I honestly love peterman lumber. Best selection, large inventory and a better quality of materials compared to the big box stores. A courteous and knowledgeable staff is really important. Every single employee shout out to Candice from the sales team to the warehouse technicians work to ensure your needs are met in a timely matter.

I am in the process of remodeling my home. I was having a hard time finding base board and casing as well as hardwood doors in this town. Ordered doors and was about to order the casing online and have it shipped in. Shipping was expensive from the Midwest. Found this place through Heritage Distribution. This store is awesome. I was like a kid in a candy store. Found the base board I was looking for as well as the casing. Found the prices were better than Home Depot and Lowes. I highly recommend. I had a great experience with the staff as well.

Their selection is awesome but I have yet to have a pleasant experience with the employees. If they could somehow add like a self checkout then it would be perfect.

There’s got to be a better system than what they have in place. I understand lumber is a commodity, so prices will fluctuate, but how hard would it be to send a guy out with a sharpie and sticky note and spend 30min putting prices on their most popular lumber? Every time I’m there I’m always waiting at least 30 min to check out because basically every customer has to go to the counter and ask how much everything is. I also understand they don’t really cater to hobbyists and they make most of their money selling sheet goods to construction companies etc. but it’s still very frustrating that this is the only hardwood lumber supplier in town. I will see everyone I’ve talked to has been VERY NICE and I don’t think it’s their fault I think the system they have in places very bad and very inefficient.

They've got a good selection of wood. And their prices are definitely fair. They have some nice router bits, and some cabinet hardware I'll be back for. But that's not why I shop here. I appreciate the level of service. Occasionally the crew asks "can I help you?" and it's clear that they are asking to be of assistance, not "how can I get you to pay and leave?". And they are happy to help all the way until you're driving off. Also, the cute woman at the sales desk is really nice.

This is a specialty lumber company with exotic and domestic hardwoods along with higher quality plywood and veneers. For any serious woodworker this is definitely the best place for materials.

I am the owner of a cabinet business. We order a lot of material from different suppliers and I would strongly recommend that you take your business elsewhere. Out of all my suppliers Peterman has had the worst customer service. I received defective material and told it wasn't their fault and they wouldn't do much of anything for me. They replaced a few sheets but that was all. Very disappointing to see someone not stand by their quality and their word. If you want to lose money go ahead and use Peterman.

Good place for a very wide selection of wood including some exotic species. The floor workers who get your order could use a little more training. It has gotten a lot better than about 5 years ago tho. It used to take them f o r e v e r to pull your items

This place is amazing. Stumbled on it when looking for quality hardwood for a honey-do project. Service is amazing, and the sales staff gave my son a sweet wood car like his late great grandpa made! I'll be back for sure !
