The set up was easy... too early to give a review, but so far so good. We have only had a tech make one delivery. But I do expect good service, so I will inspect what is expected, stay tuned.....
I have been using Petro for 15 years. They are the best company I have ever worked with for ANY type of service!!! They are an amazing company with the most wonderful, friendly employees!
It's so expensive I can't afford it. Every oil delivery, I get a bill that's over $1000. I have no gage on the oil tank so I just go along with the total petro provides. I went on the smart pay plan which is $400 a month. I am going to do over my heating system so I no longer have to use oil. It's just not practical.
We have been satisfied customers of PETRO in Maryland!for nearly 30 years. I can’t tell you the number of times that they have helped us through difficult situations. Always with the BEST customer service around. Great communication skills, super friendly & professional. Feels like they really care about us & our family & appreciate our business. From help with budgeting, oil deliveries, furnace issues, running out of oil our fault!, excellent skilled & professional technicians -always prompt & reliable. And availability 24/7 we feel we are in the best hands for all of our home heating & air conditioning needs. Special shout out to Megan who is based in the Essex Maryland office for quickly helping us with an unplanned need for a heat/oil delivery & billing issue. She is a perfect example of PETRO going above & beyond to take the best care of their customers! There has never been one time when I have called that they have not thanked me for being a long time loyal customer and letting me know how much they appreciate us!
Update- Larry called me and got me set up with a tech to come out and fix my issue. He apologized for them dropping the ball but it was good to have everything working again. Appreciate the speedy turn around after being contacted. Been waiting for a part for my ac for 2 months. No update on a time frame for said part to come in. Have called in for a week straight and every person keeps telling me they’ll get a fuel supervisor to contact me. I’ve been calling them almost everyday for 2 weeks and I still haven’t heard back from said supervisor. Pretty unbelievable it takes this long just to get an update on a part. I understand there’s delays but how will I know if I don’t even know if these piece has even been ordered.
Always delivers on schedule and I have worked with to replace a furnace in the past on a home I sold. All work satisfactory.
The worst gas company I have EVER witness someone do business with. We thought we ran low on propane, so we called Petro out to refill on Friday, Nov 5. The worker comes out and notifies us that the propane isn’t low enough to refill, but that there seems to be an issue with a valve on the furnace. He assured us that the valve would have to be ordered for Monday, therefore we would have to be without heat all weekend. Today, Monday 11/8, rolls around and a worker visits our home to replace the valve while we are away at work. I come home to discover an awful, very potent gas smell throughout the entire house - so bad, it made my eyes water. My boyfriend, myself, & my dog evacuated the home immediately; we notified my boyfriends mother, who owns the home, and she called Petro. For a company that states “24/7 customer service”, they sure do a damn good job at not answering the phone. We waited & no response, so the only thing left to do was call the fire department. Fire department showed up, detected “high scents” of propane gas leaking directly from the furnace; the fire department spent an hour airing out our entire house. My boyfriend’s mother called Petro around 6:00pm & the company stated they would have dispatch call us in 15-20 minutes. It is now 7:45pm & Petro never called; my boyfriend’s mother ended up calling Petro’s customer service AGAIN just to discover they put us on the list for TOMORROW between 5 to 9 PM. I have never seen a company have such a lack of empathy for individuals who could of potentially been severely injured and/or sick from a gas leak created by THEIR EMPLOYEE. Please refrain doing any business with this company - I am truly disgusted in their actions. This company doesn’t even deserve one star.
We have been a Petro customer for 14 years and have an annual maintenace contract at current $493.00 We have sold our home and are down sizing to Nevada. I asked Petro to sell us 100 gallons for heating oil. They refused saying their minimum is 150 gallons at $5.99.9 call it $6.00 because that is what it is plus taxes of course. I asked to speak with a supervisor. That worked...sort of. I ended up having to buy 100 gallons at $5.99.9...so $600.00 plus taxes. However they will take a reading just before we move so we will get the value of the remaining oil added to our payout. No charge for the move out reading...I guess?
If the actions of this driver is an indication of the company, I would not endorse them. The driver of this Petro vehicle -- #1727 -- taken at noon on January 7, failed to yield to oncoming traffic, proceeding through an intersecting thruway AT SPEED. Not only that, the driver was wearing audio headphones while driving. Last I checked, it's a violation of MD law. I cannot endorse a company who allows such unsafe driving practices, especially coming through an intersection right in front of a child daycare center! A suggestion to Petro: place a contact number so that drivers might report such poor driving to the company. This is unacceptable.
I have never had a negative experience with Petro. I'm happy with my service!
