I just got tattooed here for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. The space is awesome and really has an air of creativity to it. My artist was Alexandra Fische, and she was incredible. Professional, friendly, and amazingly talented. She was able to bring my vision to life. It definitely won't be my last visit to her and the shop.
Philadelphia Tattoo Collective is easy to find and has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I go to Dave Resp currently but every artist there is amazing and worth your business.
Went here for my first tattoo. I knew nothing about tattoos and Andrew tattoo artist took his time to explain the whole process, answered all my questions, and helped me get exactly what I was looking for. He was very helpful and provided great advice to care for my tattoo after it was done, including giving me some fancy wrap to protect it, not just taping saran wrap on my body lol. Following his instructions, the tattoo is looking super healthy and full. Would recommend Andrew. True professional.
Great clean friendly shop. Steve Bishov is hands down the best artist in the city! He did the half lion's face. Awesome work!
Andrew was amazing! He’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Made me feel super comfortable about getting tattooed in a painful area and it came out amazing. Highly highly recommend. The other artists there I spoke to were also very kind. Thanks guys!
Stepping into this business instantly shifts you from one of the more economically depressed areas of the city, with its run-down buildings and the near constant thunder of the El running above the street, into an open, clean, comfortable, well maintained space. I'm not a tatto person so I was prepared to feel out of my element, as I have in the past, when I accompanied my husband here for his third tattoo. Benji Harris had done the previous two so my husband followed Ben to this location. No matter how many tattoos or how large their ear gauges, everyone that was here smiled warmly at "vanilla" my words me and made me feel comfortable. There was even a nice, comfy chair for me to relax in while I waited. My husband loves Ben's work, and would highly recommend him to anyone but I figured that I would leave this review from a slightly different perspective.
Amazing place, Ruby is extremely talented! Everyone is friendly here, I love the industrial design, it was an awesome way to spend the day and I got the tattoo of my dreams. Ruby took her time to understand exactly what I wanted, was completely prepared when I arrived. She designed my tattoo perfectly from the examples that I sent, but also using her creative judgement. She made sure it was exactly where I wanted it and that it flowed with my arm shape. The lidocaine was awesome, after the black outline, I didn't feel a thing. I was so comfortable and relaxed all day. It was such an honor to be tattoed by Ruby, I can't wait until my next appointment!
The owner, Benji Harris, has unparalleled use of color. His tattoos are so vibrant, you can instantly tell his work at a glance just by how great the colors are. Alexandra Fische also has a very cool style and uses colors very well.
Went there because I wanted to make an appointment for my first tattoo. I was waiting for service in front desk section. In the shop there was two people doing tattoos. I was seen by both of them while I was waiting to be serviced. Not a simple word was said. I did not receive the service. It would have been better if they would have tell me that they were unable to schedule an appointment or simply say I am just too busy right now, or I will be with you in a couple of minutes or an hour to be serviced instead I was completely ignored. Worst customer service I have seen so far. A simple hello could’ve change the entire scenario. Thank you Guys!
Nice space with a great group of artists. I've gotten tattooed by Andrew Johnson-Lally here, who is fantastic. Very easy to get to with public transit since it's right next to the MFL.
