I purchased a one way ticket for my daughter going to the Philippines. The travel agent said that it is acceptable to do so. When we got to the check in attendants it wasn't accepted due to my daughters Philippine passport was expired and she is just holding a US passport. They have made me purse a mere exit ticket from Manila to Macao. I think it was Tess said that it is okay as soon as my daughter gets to the Philippines to go to the Philippine airlines office and have the ticket refunded an dit will only cost $50.00 cancellation fee. My daughter went with my brother to cancel the ticket just to find out that that cancellation fee is $150.00 thus I only have a $36.80. This is a total rip off. And I have been calling the Burlingame office, NO ANSWER not even the answering machine.

Philippine Airlines is a hit or miss when it comes to their services. At the international terminal, the check in attendants are personable, professional and carry along the check in process. However, Philippine Airlines at the terminal and office seldom offer profound qualities. When I inquired about my flight a few months ago, I had difficulty connecting to a customer service operator. After a few tries, I finally contacted someone, who was easygoing and answered my questions with ease. I have encountered customer service operators that were very demeaning and didn't care about the customer's needs. Overall, it's the only airline, to my knowledge, that offers non-stop flights to the Philippines; for now, there isn't any other airline that can beat PAL's inflated price and non-stop route.

Around 4/21/17 I tried to order two tickets from SFO to Manila online. However, Philippine Airlines' website would not take my order, so I called them to place my order over the phone. The representative took my order. A few days later, I received my order via email. They spell my two passenger tickets name wrong with one later incorrect. When I called them back to correct them on their mistake their clerk made they blamed me for making the mistake and charged me $50 dollars for their mistakes. They also were not willing to show me evidenced that I made the mistake. They made allegations that it was my fault without showing evidence. They also did not allow me to talk with a supervisor.

Welcome to third world countries airlines ! No service animal in the cab ! No proper explanation no nothing.
