Service: It is more self-service, so can't really comment on this. Ambiance: Imagine outside in central park with the tables and chairs, really chic and minimal. Well that is exactly what is in the interior of this establishment. I'm not talking about the feel, but the actual physical tables and chairs. It's a nice touch aesthetically, but it's not that comfortable for the indoors. It looks nice, but it doesn't feel nice. Food: Truffle and egg sandwich This is my first time having truffle on an egg sandwich and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Definitely something I would recommend anyone who likes truffles to try! Overall: Everything was fantastic minus the chairs. I can see why this a nice spot for locals or people on the go, but most likely would not return again just because it didn't have that "special feeling" I would get where I connect with the food/place.
I’ve been here a few times, first to try the coffee and it was extremely misunderstood. The women behind the counter was slightly rude as I ordered a new one because the previous one was undrinkable, she didn’t listen to my order correctly, I’m initialed to what I requested and paid for. I did however give this place another shot since I’m a local, again the counter girls were unfriendly and seemed annoyed when you order. I got the gluten free pasta. The sauce was tasteless and the bread it comes with was hard as a rock! Although the pasta was cooked Al dente, which was nice. Overall the customer service here needs some readjusting & the flavor of the sauce could be more flavorful less store bought.
Homely and offbeat place nice desserts ..panino and soup combo was just ok but better than many other places in this part of town
Assortment of delicious lovingly-made breakfast sandwiches that come with a medium coffee and pastries. No wifi, but you won't need it with the great people watching on Madison Ave.
I got the fetuccini tomato and basil sauce with parmigiano cheese AND chicken. First off, i felt as hot as the pasta. It was sooo hot in there, no ac, it was cooler once i got outside. Besides that, the pasta was terrible. I guess the basil mustve been blended because i didn't see any green specs and honestly it hardly tasted like basil to begin with. It just tasted like tomato sauce more on the acidic side. Also, i asked for chicken as well which was an extra 2.50. I swear there was maximum 15 tiny cubes of chicken. The chicken didn't remotely have any flavor either. It tasted like boiled chicken that was cut into cubes and tossed into the watery pasta. This picture i took was when i had already began eating. I ate the whole thing just because i was hungry.
I love this place! Great and authentic there are plenty of italians pastas and paninis. I used to go there twice a week for lunch when I worked in the area. The place is small piccolo but you might be able to find a table.
It's pricey. It costed $15 only for a sandwich and soup. But tastes good.
Great tasting food. They give you tons of options to pick from. I got lobster and spaghetti, the lobster was amazing
This place has been permanently closed since at least March 2020. I live a block away from it and have tried to get google to list this as closed but they keep responding with "unable to verify". Attached are photos of the shop window with a "For Rent" sign prominently displayed. Additionally, their phone as listed by google is disconnected.
I go here for the coffee which is really good and an everything bagel with cream cheese in the morning since my work is around the corner. I really like it, and it's a good price. Shockingly great bagels too. They crisp it better than most places when they toast it and don't overwhelm the bagel with cream cheese. The staff is interesting and they clearly have a lot of regulars. It takes a while to get your food. I'll definitely have to try them for lunch sometime.
