The staff always answers any questions I may have but they could be friendlier. The donut case is so filthy, I stood there a few minutes wondering if I should get the packaged donuts or not. Those donuts were soooooo stale. I learn my lesson because I wasn’t even comfortable going into the case, let alone eating donuts from there! Please THOROUGHLY clean this area. It is in dire need of a DEEP DEEP CLEANING! And sell FRESH donuts not stale, hard donuts!!! And every time I shop here all the meats expire literally a few days from that date! I bought some chicken and was going to cooked it days later but froze it then unthawed it and it had a funky smell to it, it smelled like salmonella! I had to throw it away. Before that I haven’t bought ANY kinds meat at all because these expiration dates are too close & suspicious for me. It’s been months since my family and me has eaten chicken. Look at the pictures I added.
This place has completely gone downhill. There is no real service. The people working are mostly not customer friendly. Cashiers are often complaining in front of customers or playing on their phones. There seems to be no interest in ensuring that customers want to come back. I avoid this store when I can.
I don't believe Kroger really cares. the employees are helpful when asking for guidance, but never friendly or even smiling. The meat and seafood department has always reeked and it permeates the entire store. You can smell it the minute you walk in the doors. When I have to shop here, it's just a downer.
Does the job - but not as well as Roundy's in the past Update: Stocking issues are much worse now. They are out of produce, out of canned goods... just about out of everything. I just visited on a busy Sunday afternoon and they struggled to keep up at the checkout. Will likely be looking at my options! Update 2: service and selection continue to deteriorate. Fewer checkout lines are open every time, and bagging service is more of a disservice at this point. Not what I would expect when purchasing $250 in groceries. Time to find alternatives. Update 3: the change to Metro market has only made the place worse. Staff are rude, impatient, and clearly don't get paid enough. The manager needs to instill a different attitude among the people working there, starting by paying them a little more and then them a reason to be a little less rude. I recommend you avoid this store at all costs.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. For some reason the produce and sometimes the meat department is almost always wiped out, so that's a bit frustrating. There have been many times I've bought meat here, and upon opening the package it was discolored or had a foul odor....
Good place to shop. I receive no register coupons though.
I usually wait to give a bad review, giving a place more than a few chances. The deciding factor on my rating is buying produce for the 4th time, doing my best to inspect it in-store, and coming back to find it's moldy or expired. My last visit, I saw mold on: cherries, cheese curds, and broccoli. I haven't been able to buy meat here since they changed over to Kroger. I have tried finding steaks a few times, but they are already brown and unappealing. Unfortunately it's the most convenient location for groceries, but I would highly recommend stopping next door at Aldi who has great food selection and produce, along with a better in-store experience. The only problem is that they have a limited selection on a few things.
We bought a few lbs of the fresh shrimp on ice. It had an awful taste. Had to throw away everything. Hope my family doesn't get sick. Never again.
I went today Sunday the produce staffs are so rude, no sure whether because I am Asian. I will avoid to go this store next time.
This store there always done up beautifully. People that work there are always very nice every time I've gone there. This time I've gone in with a broken wrist so I have a cast on my arm. I really miss having melons. One of the ladies asked me if they could help me find something. I asked, if they had ready sliced melons since I'm not able to safely cut a melon. They didn't, she offered to choose a melon for me and take it in the back and cut it up for me and then put it back together and then wrapped back up! Thank you!
