Pickity Place

Our daughter gave my wife a luncheon at Pickity Place. My wife invited me to join them. I wasn't quite thrilled: I couldn't get past the image of sipping tea and giggling. I was quite wrong. We had a delightful lunch. The staff is knowledgeable and professional without being overbearing. The quality of the food and presentation were impeccable. The house and the grounds are historic and charmingly quaint. Pickity Place is just a bit loud, but you'll manage. Try it!

This place is AWESOME! Beautiful flowers & landscaping, great garden shop, and wonderful individualized service. Great place to go for a day trip in the spring and/or summer. The restaurant only takes a small amount of people a day, so reservations go months in advance. Plan to eat elsewhere, or bring a lunch to eat on the way. I don't know if they would be okay with a picnic, you would have to ask in advance. Overall a place worth going to at least once if you like pretty and relaxed places!

I stumbled on Pickity Place while wandering the countryside, I'm glad I did. I was looking for a place to eat and arrived just as a setting was beginning. The food was delicious and in just the right quantity to fill me without stuffing me. I went to the gift shop after and found ideal toys for Easter gifts. The gardens were just starting and I know I will return for herbs sometime soon. It's a great place to spend some quality time.

Extraordinary cuisine. A different 5-course meal served every month. Grounds loaded with herb gardens. The herbs are used in the unique, delicious dishes, also dried and sold in the gift shop. The greenhouse offers a wonderful selection of herbs for purchase. Check out the historical connection to Little Red Riding Hood when you visit. Reservation recommended; ask for the "greenhouse seating."

The food was amazing. Though not a place for picky eaters or those on dietary restrictions since it is a set menu. I went with my eight year old daughter and had a fantastic time. I do not recommend young children, not do I think they can accommodate young children. They do haven't a child portions. The only difference was a choice between soup and salad instead of having both, and a choice of the cake that we had or a chocolate chip cookie. We went with a group of seven and had to be seated at two different tables. Very intimate setting and the staff was wonderful.
