Dr. Nathan Pursifull has left the state - that is good for people in Georgia, I feel sorry for the people of Utah. I had kidney stone surgery and one of the things that could go wrong, did go wrong. Dr. Pursifull did not listen to my concerns as to how I was feeling after surgery. I called him 3 days after my surgery and physically saw him 7 says after surgery. Both times I was told it was nothing. He did not even exam my distended stomach. It was a lot more than nothing. On day 10 I went to the ER, was immediately admitted. It was SEPSIS!. Developed when the kidney stones tore a 'large' hole in my ureter. If Dr. Pursifull had listened, at least examined my body, could I have avoided the SEPSIS? It has cost me a lot of time off work, my general health and now I am told could take months, even years to get rid of all the effects of having had the illness. I would NOT use Dr. Pursifull ever again and I recommend anyone with kidney issues seek care from another doctor.
Horrible experience. Dr. Matthew Sand kept talking about his "gold standard" procedure while not listening to my concerns. Unfortunately, I ignored all the red flags. Strongly suggest you get a second opinion. The response below is interesting as I have spoken with leadership at Piedmont Hospital--- as physicians notes/comments did not match reality. All I can say is there are serious challenges at the Urology Department.
The office staff is RUDE! Especially African American woman with long hair and Bambi eyelashes.
I've been seeing Dr Pursifull at this location for a few years now. I would rate Dr Pursifull himself as an excellent doctor. He handles the work, covers results, and discusses options freely. The staff seems nice, overall, if a bit harried. They do their best to handle all the before and after work as quickly as possible. The waiting room is Ok, but nothing special. The parking is sufficient, but far from noteworthy. The roads and traffic are the most annoying part of coming to this campus, but its only 1-2 times per year for me so I try to be patient and just deal with it. Overall it's been a good experience over the years.
Courteous, Respectful, Professionals, always a pleasant experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
I disagree with the person who gave Dr. Sand a 1 star rating. My experience was awesome. I have referred at least 5 friends to Dr. Sand and all had the same experience. I followed doctors orders, sat on the couch with my feet up for 3 days, and had no issues.
Excellent place and feel very taken care of
Office said the procedure was covered but insurance denied claim after the fact.
Terrible customer service the staff speaks to you so rudely like you are insignificant and like they don’t want to do certain things do they really think that I came here to waste $170 on nothing just to say hello? Seems to be common practice within the Piedmont system
Please avoid this place.
