I walked across town to go to this place but didn't even bother to order when I got there. It was just a food counter and just didn't seem like a welcoming, appetizing place. However, the Mount Vernon Marketplace seems like it could be a cool place, in the right city.
The greasy dumplings were delicious! They were unfortunately out of ingredients to make fried rice.
I love gyoza. I have low standards for gyoza. I just want a place where I can get gyoza. This place is an embarrassment. Quality? It's ok. They almost never have anything beyond basic pork and cabbage gyoza but that's fine. The wrappers are too thick, a little gummy, but nothing atrocious. However, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. You will show up and they will not have received your order. Guaranteed. It's happened to me multiple times. And they will be very slow to refund you or make your order. Do yourself a favor and go to a grocery store and get frozen gyoza. They will be better and cheaper and faster and you won't have to deal with this mess of a restaurant.
I walked by this place after I had dinner. It looked yummy and I could not resist it so I gave it a try and it was delicious. The staff was super nice and friendly.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
I was very excited when I went to this place; I just love dumplings. I was very disappointed with the food. The dough was too thick for steamed dumplings. The dumplings were served on top of a butter paper placed in a bowl. The dumplings on the bottom stuck to the paper and I eventually had to resort to eating the dumplings by hand instead of using chopsticks. The vegan dumplings didn't have any flavour and I had to resort to putting excess soy sauce to have some flavour. I was very happy with the service. The staff were polite and the food was served quickly. I don't recommend this place. There are better eateries in the same locality.
I just got some pork cabbage dumplings from this place on Grubhub. I honestly never leave reviews because I don’t care that much, but these were really bad. I paid $18 in total plus $4 tip for the dumplings. They were so salty that I got sick right away. The only sub-par part was the dough of the dumplings. But the meat and sauce were just bad. However, this is the only meal I have had from this place, so other choices may be much better.
Couldn’t really tell if it was open or closed since the kitchen was dark. The person working also looked as if they were drinking on the job. They were out of almost everything at 3 PM on a Sunday. The dumplings were too doughy and not anything special. They were also out of soy sauce, which they didn’t tell me until after ordering.
Pinch had some great dumplings but their ordering setup is ridiculous. You can't order through their site or on the phone. You can only order through Doordash but only for delivery. Then you pay $10+ extra. The site says to call them if you want to pickup but if you call them they tell you that you have to come in to order. So for those of us who are trying to order on our way home or to work you have to not only drive to the location which in my case is not close, park your car which you'd do anyway unless someone is running in for you, pay for parking obviously, go inside to order and wait for an undisclosed period of time. Not very convenient. So after years of ordering from them I'm going to find a new place which has a better way of ordering for those of us who travel to pick up food.
The pork dumplings are 10/10!!! Loved the dessert too - good portion size. Very amazing service - the blonde girl was very welcoming, helpful, and efficient.
