On my second pregnancy using them. I find that they have a hard time with women who are and are trying to be informed on their options. Recommendations for future visits are presented in a way that you should or must when more visits are not really necessary in my case. I will often decline making an appointment because my schedule is challenging then to find out later that it was made for me. I cancel and then find out it was not cancelled. The waits can be very long and front desk less than professional. Otherwise, I always leave feeling rather on edge and uncomfortable after a visit despite good health. I was once told that ‘your age is unfortunate’ by a PA. Not okay. After a transvaginal ultrasound, I was told, not asked, to put a disposable towel around myself and go get changed in the other room while the tech stayed. Stepping out of the room would have taken the tech minutes, provided me with privacy and I would not have to jump around in bathroom trying to avoid getting my clothes on a bathroom floor. It doesn’t take a terrible amount of effort to earn a pregnant person’s trust, but the folks here need to try a little harder.
I had my first visit with them yesterday and it was an AWESOME experience. The front desk was efficient and kind. My US tech Cassidy was so incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. Dr. Brown was so friendly and personable. Kathy the genetic counselor was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. And my phlebotomist I’m so sorry I forgot her name! was very quick and very nice. Overall I left feeling like I was in very good hands with my pregnancy care, and I’m looking forward to my next visit! Thank you all!
My wife and I had an excellent experience with the staff and physicians at Piñon. Yes we waited about 20min for our appointment, no big deal, nice waiting area. Once we went back there was no waiting for anything, every question we had was answered, never felt rushed & we look forward to our future visits. Highly recommend!
You can't go wrong with any of the Drs or PAs. They're all amazing. I typically have Dr Hurley, Dr Brown and occasionally Dr Jain. All wonderful. Jennifer is the best PA! Paula is 99% of the time my MA and she's amazing too. This is my second pregnancy being seen at Pinion and we have felt in great hands the whole time. Sometimes you do have to wait past your appt time 20 minutes really isn't anything to complain about though, and anyone in a medical or customer service position knows this -______-. Sometimes I'm in on my appointment time and out within 30-45 minutes, and sometimes I'm not. Either way, I have the time if it means genuine and attentive care for my baby. Front desk ladies are just straight to the point; not to be confused with rude. Some of us can appreciate this; quick and easy. They have updated their covid policies I believe about children though....it was pretty tough for a while not being able to bring my toddler. Overall, it's a great place.
I love this place. I am currently on baby number 3 and pregnancy number 5. They have take such great care of me. I love all the staff and they have always been so friendly and super supportive of my pregnancies. I have tried other facilities and nothing compares to pinon!!!!
So I figured out that this place had pretend that they set up an appointment with me.. I was really confused since they called me, set up an appointment, and gave me directions to their hidden facility. I read other comments about the ladies upfront not scheduling correctly; this is highly unacceptable to do. The miscommunication happened when they said that they scheduled me in for an appointment, and I confirmed it that Friday at 3:25pm . And I made sure this is their phone number that I called if you Google the phone number it takes you to this place unless I’m talking to someone else I don’t knowShe called Friday afternoon- everyone is closed on the weekend- and scheduled it for Monday morning 9am. We don’t have time/gas to waste during our pregnancy like this to be told the appointment was never made. I don’t think this is professional and Lovelace would never do this. Have better staff scheduling so our time isn’t wasted.
Pinon consistently overbooks. Every appointment we have we wait for over 30 minutes to be seen and go over our appointment time waiting to see a doctor or another specialist. They have one doctor on-site for all patients today, and maybe everyday. Every time I have to explain to my work being late. Very inconsiderate business practice for working professionals/patients.
Nice place, yes waiting outside is inconvenient for us but I usually don't have to wait long too long. No kids are allowed! I found out the hard way, my main OB's office allows kids so I thought it would be fine. The sonographers are great though at least the ones I've had. They are comforting and nice. Thank you Pinon Perinatal for your kindess and understanding, and for putting up with we emotional ladies =
Although my experience with the doctor and PA was good, the secretary's are unprofessional. I called to cancel an appointment and they didn't do it, so I called to cancel again and instead they canceled all of my appointments. Upon following up I was asked why I needed an ultrasound and that I will need another referral. I'm not too sure why there seems to be so much negative feedback on their behavior and they keep their jobs...they make the health care professionals they work with look terrible.
My spouse and I had our follow up appointment for our baby and had the at most best experience! I've read some comments and myself and my spouse work in the medical field and could not disagree more with the negative comments about the front desk staff. They were so polite and kind, we waited in lobby for the Genetics Specialist and witnesses the poor attitudes of a few different people including a husband. Dr. Jain and his staff are remarkable and take god care of us and we look forward to seeing you in the future! Mr. Davis
