This is a beautiful park with a children's really nice swimming pool area. It is large enough for kids to have a little space to play with a dividing walk way and railing in the center. This day all the littles shared toys and played really well. Felt like a great family place I. Our community. When we arrived, the pool was flooding out the pool area and water was draining into the outer are of the park and all the way down the street. The two Male lifeguards were seated most of the two hour time I was there and seemed to be aware of the water overflowing.... and it was 100degrees, so, not a big deal at a pool. They were on their phones almost the entire time. Most children had adult supervision anyways, so, I guess that wasn't so bad. That they weren't really monitoring children or the water...a large group of fully dressed teenagers came and got into the pool from the nearby concert setting up. They were teenagers and pretty well mannered. It was a very hot day so I don't blame them. There was no posted signs on age or clothing requirements, so, again, it wasn't a huge issue. I know at other wading pools, the lifeguards have actually monitored that and disallowed it sharing age or size limits. It was a fun day without drama.
Spent some time walking around while daughter had cross country practice. Great park! Peaceful and a nice break from downtown yet only a few blocks away. I even sat on bench by small brook that passes through park and enjoyed the quiet.
Lovely quiet park. Ample trails for walking. Beautiful greenery with lots of nice shade trees.
Best and most beautiful park in Billings. Large, lots of trees, shade. and open space. Tennis courts, laughing kids, playground equipment, splash pool, disc golf. Park benches, trails, picnic tables. A great family and community park. Our pioneers obviously had more intelligence and insight than our current Parks Board which designed Centennial Park totally opposite to well documented citizen desires, to be a barren pasture with nothing to do. Nothing for families, for children, for fun.
I have spent quite a bit of time at this park. Seems fairly safe, my son loves all the climbing opportunities. There are a few amenities.. tennis courts, folf course, wonderful hills and a thin creek Playground: Redone recently so very new equipment Restrooms: Clean most of the time Dog-friendliness: Good place for puppers, lots of space for running if you got a long leash Picnic area: Multiple metal picnic tables around
Beautiful park, great 4 kids and dogs
Beautiful park. First our map routes us to a not park way off, but then we wondered over near the hospital... and saw on the map a big green spot... oh and it says Pioneer Park lol not sure how that happened. So pay attention to where on your map are there 2 pioneer parks? Anyway playground is great! Traditional play set, those new climber things, a small kids playground, a splash pool kiddy pool - very shallow and TREES! picnic tables all around. Wasn't crowded at all - considering it's summer and gorgeous out today. Friendly place! Pleased with Billings
The funnest in town park. Always love remembering taking my kids here walking the stream. Sledding in the winters
Great Park is usually busy but not over crowded. There is a good variety for kids and adults. For the kids there is a great playground a wadding pool and plenty's of grass and trees. For adults and older children there is tennis and disk golf.
Great little hike. The hill is just challenging enough and the views at the top are beautiful.
