Will pass on this list of issues. HAD TO DRIVE to their location to sign papers and ended up forgetting some papers that we signed by e-mail. Forgot a bag that belonged with our pontoon and asking us to drive 125Km back to their dealership to pick these up. Answers from Manitou to get bars to complete a camper top were very long and disapointing... Have to admit they finally have stepped it up now that the season has kicked in. Thanks To Kim for responding very quickly on parts request.
Bought outboard new 2019 $8500, not due for 1st service yet. Hit rock aug 2020, aug 2022 developed gear problem, 2 teeth missing at least 150 hours later, lots of canals in 2021, 2022 Blamed me, would not warranty extended warranty. Quoted $6000 to repair, dealer would not replace defective part. I called insurance, they would cover but quote went to $8400. Bought parts on Amazon for $460 did it myself. They apparently do not know how to repair gears, said they needed to replace entire lower end at cost of new engine, they would not find used or aftermarket part either to attempt to lower cost
I just purchased my first Lund from Pirate Cove Marina. My sales experience with Moe was outstanding. Zero pressure, just honest valuable information that helped me make decisions on the best boat for me. Once the boat arrived there were a few issues to be worked out but Moe and his team were great, especially Matt who did the electronics and accessary installs on my boat. Thanks Pirate Cove!
Yesterday as we traveled the Rideau Canal on the Loop, we called about an issue with our engine. Lauren invited us to stop in and dock along the fuel dock. We arrived 30 minutes later and Brett, one of their Yamaha technicians quickly assessed and diagnosed the issue and worked for nearly an hour with the boat in the water to fix the problem. He went above and beyond with half his head and face in the water. Even though he was unable to fix it, we left pleased with the part we need in hand for the next time we sling the boat for service. We would highly recommend this team of service providers on the Rideau Canal.
An ideal blend of services, setting and proximity to ottawa for the price. The marina sits on the longest stretch of the canal system between lock stations with lots of good anchorages, and each slip comes with a patch of lawn for recreation. Full service marine mechanic and salt water swimming pool.
Great people and service. Took my Phoenix 919 in for spring service and they did an excellent job taking care to complete the work on time and professionally. Awesome people and great service, what more could you ask for Brian
It was a bit of a rocky go, but in the end, very happy! Pete did his best to keep his customer happy. Well done, quite impressed with the end result Thank you
Physically, the surroundings of this place is second to none, thus far. With lots of green space, a salt water pool, clean wash house facilities and great grounds keeper. A Canteen would be nice for soft drinks etc... a food truck would be a treat as well. Ethically, it is the worst place to do business with, for two reasons. Firstly, you need to be certain you will stay the whole season, which ends early October. There are no gradual fees, no matter what happens in your life, unexpected or NOT. You will NOT get a refund for unused time at your slip dock even if it is leased again to another boater on a waiting list by the owners. Consider it something like a hustling business, or simply put, it's easy to gouge loyal customers who have been there a while... myself going on three years.  Unbelievable. Secondly, being from a hospitality business myself, introducing a gradual fee structure for unexpected, unique circumstances, would alleviate all kinds of pressures. And when stipulated clearly on their policies, customers and business owners would enjoy applying thoughts to other more important matters for improvement. But to arrogantly approve leasing a boat slip at full price, twice in one time frame, without a refund to the original customer is very disturbing. How easy to forget the human element. Such a shame... the owners have no loyalty to its customers, which is ethically very wrong and suggests that the owner does not care about moral principles. Then to have the owner blatantly tell a customer, "I don't need your business, you have to vacate in three days" is a sign of immaturity. Similar to a reaction of a 12 year old boy. All because he didn't want to talk on the phone. What does it mean when companies talk about customer service? Never again will I return, and it's too bad... such a lovely and enjoyable place. Thank you.
Recently bought a boat from Pirate Cove Marina and must say the service is top notch. From the initial contact with sales to the delivery of the boat, the transaction was very smooth. Moe was very easy to deal with and took care of all our needs. Lorne was great during the delivery of the boat on the water and answered all our questions. Mark was also great to deal with. Great bunch of guys who care for every customer who walks through that door. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
I bought a new stingray boat in 2020, When I put in the water in 2021 the bilge pump didn't work. I HAVE BEEM UNABLE TO GET REEMBURSMENT FOR IT,S REPLACEMENT. THEY LIED ABOUT REQUIREMENTS FROM THE MANUFACTURER
