One of the best places in the world!!! The surrounding of trees is simply spiritual and healing. After going here my first time a couple years ago, I knew I had to come back to see more. I highly recommend making it out here if you can. I have attached one of my favorite pictures from my latest trip back to the forest.

Very unique exquisite places to hike, bike, camp ( in marked areas) or even picnic. The organic foliage, undeveloped environments is stunning. Take in views atop mountains or venture down deep into the forest to super neat, very cold, streams. Great to walk your dog, go alone, or in a group. Highly recommend any and all parts of this beautiful gem. Our mountains are unlike any others around the world. Fantastic place to be any time of year. In winter it's a white wonderland, an array of beautiful colors in the fall, lush full vegetation in the summer, new life & blooms in full swing in the spring.

Absolutely fantastic hiking and amazing scenery. Just enough wilderness to make it feel like you might get lost, but just enough signage to help you keep from doing that. Parking can suck on the nicer days, but overall it's a great place to explore. Not for the faint of heart!

Coming from the upper Northeast we have our share of Appalachia however this park has a richer scenery unlike any other. Every visit takes you on a new trail and there's plenty of privacy for those among us who enjoy losing themselves in nature. Surprises are abound and there are challenging trails but the water is cool and sweet, very inviting place to be during the summer

Awesome place to bring your family for camping fishing and hiking. The Pisgah national forest will surprise you!! They have tons of primitive free camping site throughout the forest. The paying campsite are well kept and bathroom are nice and clean! Prepare yourself for a new addiction!!
