I saw Dr. Plancher for a complimentary post operative visit after he had performed ACL reconstruction and meniscus surgery on my knee back in April of 2013. He remembered my knee as if he performed surgery last week! I was a collegiate baseball player at the time of my surgery. I was relieved to hear that my knee is as strong as ever, even 10 years removed from my procedure. You're in great hands with Dr. Plancher. He is clear, concise, and makes sure you are fully understanding of the information he gives you. His staff was very welcoming and helpful to get me the clearance information I needed. My case is still used as research in his office which shows the attention to detail by the team.

Dr. Plancher did an exceptional job with my knee surgery where he had to correct a mistake from a prior surgeon. I found Dr. Plancher to be the most thorough and detailed surgeon I have ever been treated by. I traveled from California for this surgery and his staff was extremely helpful in all areas including scheduling, preparation for surgery and complete care after surgery. Dr. Plancher found that I had an issue with my back that was affecting my knee, something which no other surgeon had discovered. I was referred to Dr. Plancher by my longtime physical therapist, Derek Samuel in La Jolla, CA, who has extensive knowledge of "Who is Who" in the orthopaedic surgeon community and had other patients who also had very successful surgical outcomes with Dr. Plancher. After tearing my ACL while playing soccer, I was worried that I might never be able to run and jump again like I used to. But when I visited Dr. Plancher's office, I immediately knew that this was going to be a positive experience. I have complete confidence in their ability to provide the best care for my knee, and I would never consider going to anyone else. I am a 24 year old rugby player that tore my acl and meniscus in the Summer of 2021, while training with the National Team. 3 months after my initial surgery I came in for a second opinion to Dr. Planchers office. I had so many issues when I first came in including nerve damage, complete lack of range of motion, and severe pain. I was referred to Dr. Plancher by a business colleague who was delighted with his experience. I found Dr. Plancher to be very patient friendly, happy to answer any questions and not afraid to give tough medicine. My partial knee replacement went smoothly and recovery was full and speedy after following the doctors specific rehab requirements. I would highly recommend him.

13 years ago, Dr. Plancher performed a total shoulder replacement of my right shoulder. Although I was "only" 55 at the time, no cartilage remained, I was in pretty much constant pain and couldn't sleep. He promised to take away my pain and I decided to go ahead with the surgery. This was hands down the right decision and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have had no pain in the joint since. I was determined to return to my pre-arthritis activities and put in as much PT work as necessary to regain my range of motion and strength, and I continue to stretch and strengthen both shoulders. I had a significant knee injury in Dec of 2018. Initially I went to a large orthopedic practice and felt like I was a “number”. They insisted I didn’t need surgery because of my age and because I was not a professional athlete. I had a very pensive ski season after the initial rehab. I went to see Dr Plancher in June of 2020. He recommended that I undergo knee reconstruction ACL surgery. I had the surgery in August 2020 and I was able to walk carefully with out pain in 2 days! Dr Plancher and his staff are so caring and professional. They take the extra time to explain all of the procedures, surgery, recovery, PT and answer any questions in extreme detail.
