Planet Fitness - Albuquerque - Gibson

Place was not as clean and doesn’t offer other amenities compared to gyms in the area. No classes, no help from upfront, really bad parking. However, a genuine 2 star gym if you’re looking to just start working out with free weights and shower. My experience was ruined when I was getting stared down by management to wear a mask while I was running a 2 mile. If you have better experience, props to you

So far it exceeded my expectations. Have a bunch of machines, everything is clean, never crowded, and for black members has that wonderful hydromassage bed that I use after training that is a must! And the staff always helpful and gentle.

I actually like this gym a lot. It's not usually too crowded. It's not in the best neighborhood, but it's clean. Ben is usually working early in the morning, and he is quite lovely. He always greets me and says goodbye with a smile on his face. It's nice to have that before and after a workout!

I’ve been to most of the Planet Fitnesses in Albuquerque and I have to say this one is the best by a long shot. It’s got plenty of room so everything isn’t scrunched together and it’s always clean. Bryan especially but the other staff too is super friendly and helpful. He made me feel right at home and quite literally saved my life by giving me a place where I feel safe to workout. Thank you so much!

The price is right. Planet Fitness is known as the gym for people that don't like gyms but they have a lot of locations, so when I travel I can still work out. They could get another star just for having one free form bench but then the gym would actually allow people to pump their chests up correctly without injury and they can't have that. The "Judgement Free Zone" is great for inconsiderate or weak people that never finish work outs and put the plates back after using the smith machines or use a weight they can actually handle and always slam weights. Not so great for self respecting decent people.

I'm a black card member because I travel the country. I get the benefit of seeing and comparing Planet Fitness across the nation. This particular location seems to be an older Planet Fitness. Many of the machines are first or second generation, but in good working order. The staff and management are lovely! This is the first Planet Fitness I have been to where the Black Card section is not a separate area and very limited. Unique for sure, but I don't think it's my cup of tea and the reason I rated it 4 stars .

Great clean gym! Friendly staff and are always welcoming when you enter the front doors. The temperature for workout is perfect! Great atmosphere and friendly people working out. Great job guys!!

Nice size gym. Clean, equiptment spaced perfectly. Some machines are updated. Missing a few machines I used at other PFits, but enough for a good workout.

I have been really excited about getting back into the gym after being away for so long due to the pandemic. However, the club doesn’t seem to take the mask mandate very seriously. Most members mask up, but there are too many people not wearing masks at all or only on their chins. Last time, I asked staff to remind people, but tonight the staff wasn’t even wearing a mask. I don’t think it would be difficult to make periodic announcements or take a few minutes to walk the club and remind people of the mask policy. As happy as I am to be back at the gym, I won’t be able to keep my membership if the mask policy isn’t enforced.
