I enjoy their food and keep coming back for years, but lately my special instructions for toppings have not been honored, even though paid for through the app. Inconsistent both with respect to additional toppings or leaving toppings off, and once it was made as a sandwich despite paying for a tortilla wrap. That said, the food I get is always hot and fresh and delicious, and my requests are not dietary restrictions so it is a minor complaint.
Ordered the breakfast burrito as staff recommended. Nobody was there so I presume the cook wasn't distracted or anything abnormal. 2 bites in I had to throw it away and leave. Worst breakfast I've had in recent memory and definitely the worst food I've had in downtown. Went next door to Jason's Deli and grabbed lunch instead. Glad I did. Won't be back and honestly surprised this place has even stayed open as long as it has.
One of the best subs I've had in a very long time! It takes a while to make but it is worth the wait I will definitely be back here! Parking: You may have to pay to park and walk aways to get here.
I enjoyed my tempeh barbecue sandwich with pickle! I left off the cheese and added guacamole and it was delicious! I'm thankful for vegan options, especially when I need a quick meal on the go.
I really want to give 4.5 stars, but am rounding up. I don't think the equivalency to subway is an accurate one, this place is much closer to a Potbellies. The subs were toasted and loaded with ingredients. The bread was much more durable and tasty than a Subway sandwich. Great place for lunch. Relatively fast service, and very friendly employees.
I probably eat at this location once a week, at least. The bread is really baked fresh each day and it's fantastic. I'm kinda addicted to their breakfast sandwich, the Sunrise Sub. Yep, they have breakfast, not sure if they like to advertise this or not. Just a word to the wise, all sandwiches are made fresh, per order, so don't walk in expecting it to be ready unless you call ahead hint. Their soups are pretty darn tasty as well.
I eat here all the time when I'm working in the area. The food is really good, and there are a lot of healthier, lower calorie, options. They have this system of serving by calling out playing cards. It's fine when it works, but I've seen a few hiccups. They need a speaker system, because it's hard to hear in there. I saw one mix-up where they recorded a different card than the one the customer had, so she had to just go up when it was taking too long. Her sandwich was cold by then if it had been toasted. These are pretty easy fixes that they just need to work on.
This is the best food, people, vibe, customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I work in the building and they are consistent and amazing. I can't believe ANYONE would compare planet sub to subway. Sad. Love you guys!
Best warm sandwiches ever when in cold KC! I chose the experience everytime. Nice big cozy shoppe with soft level seating in the heart very close to POWER AND LIGHT!!
The subs were good, not great but good. Really quiet inside. ALL of the tables were very dirty with crumbs, stains, and sticky residue all over but if you can get past that it was a nice place.
