Planned Parenthood - The Bronx Center

The wait times are ridiculously long. My appointment was at 1:50 I didn’t get called to about 2:35 pm. They don’t inform you if they’re gonna be a long wait or even apologize for it. Everyone in the reception is talkative and not paying any mind to the patients. Ive been here several of times , I have a 25$ copay. The receptionist “Jessica A” stated I had no copay, which every time I go to any medical office I always do. As being a receptionist myself they had no respect for people’s times and didn’t have great customer service. I won’t return back to this planned parenthood.

Got to my 350pm appointment and got seen relatively quickly. Got testing done and was told to wait in the reception area to get called back shortly. I am waiting there for 40 mins, and am currently sitting in a private room alone going on 20 mins at 5:15pm. After asking what's going on and how much longer this will take, they told me to either deal with it or reschedule at the front. I don't even know what they're keeping me here for since I should just be receiving test results on the My Chart App. Being asked to sit around after blood is drawn without explanation, more than 30 mins is ridiculous.

My appointment was not in the system even though I had made it and was getting texts all day. the front desk staff made me wait for 30 minutes with no communication only to tell me to go to the emergency room down the street. I was in incredible pain and could barely walk and they were sitting and laughing with each other as if I wasn't hunched over the receptionist desk, sobbing because of how much pain i was in.

I have to say, this staff is the most wonderful crew I have ever interacted with in any doctors office or any establishment actually. From the initial phone call, to the front desk staff, to the techs, to the providers. Just absolutely WOW. So much kindness, love and care. I was in shock as to how wonderful everyone was. Such a beautiful example of women uplifting and supporting each other. This was beautiful. And especially when the nature of many of the visits are so sensitive, every person handled me with so much care, respect and light heartedness. 10/10. thank you all!!

I’ve been to the Bronx location 3 times and my experience was amazing. The doctors, nurses, assistants, technicians, front desk, and everybody else that helped me were amazing. The security guard on the 3rd floor is so nice too!!!. I had to go 3 times to attempt to get my IUD inserted. My uterus was not happy with it and that’s why I had to go so many times. Everytime I went the providers were very nice and patient with me. The last time I went 3rd time they scheduled me to insert it using ultrasound as guidance and put me under local anesthesia It was really painful the first 2 times. It was the best thing ever. This place is really empowering women and helping them through pain. I’m so thankful for the service they provided and I’m so thankful for every staff member. I didn’t feel a thing and was so surprised when the doctors told me they inserted it. I called them my Angels and I really mean it. Thank you!!!!

They had horrible ghetto services. And didn't provide any real service to me ! If I have to say it's better and safer for your mental health to just go elsewhere any where else planned parenthood but this bronx location !!! Again I am in full support of planned parenthood - just not Bronx location !!! This isn't a real planned parenthood just a space using the name for support in my opinion! Be safe ladies.

Dr Cecilia is a wonderful human being! Recommend her 10/10! And Michael the financial advisor is very professional, joyful and has important information to share!

They are charging $430 for a basic wellness exam- out of pocket, don’t go here and waste your time- also I was told they no longer do OBGYN services- go to Brooklyn professional GYN instead you’ll get better care

Providers and nurses are professional and nice. However, the front desk dark skin guy was so rude to me. He yelled at me only because I wanted to get my kids at the front entrance l. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find someone to stay with my 2 month old baby and my 11 year old so they came with me to the appt. The provider showed me a different exit so when I got there I told the guy to let me in because my kids were upstairs, he refused and then he change his mind and follow me to the downstair waiting area. When I told him my kids were actually in the upstairs waiting area, he refused to let me get my kids !!!!! Instead he yelled at me across the hallway in front of other patients. It was so embarrassing that it made me cry. It was the worst experience ever !!. Luckily a nurse following upstairs to get my kids as the guy should have done.

Horrible horrible experience this place is so unprofessional! the doctors, nurses and people who take care of your body are great however the girls at the front desk and who work in some other areas or this establishment are nasty, rude, and judgemental. My appointment was at 1:20 apparently but on the phone they originally told me 1:30 when scheduled. I showed up on time but still managed to be there from 1:30 until at 5 and didn’t see a doctor until 4:30 . The worst part , they tell you to bring an escort and all planned parenthood’s including New Rochelle allow a support person to accompany you but they won’t let any of these girls/patients partners come inside the room with them even for the ultrasound which I found to be ridiculous. Overall the neighborhood is disgusting there’s crack heads lurking everywhere and people shooting up on corners near delis while kids are getting out of school. DONT GO HERE ! USE EXTREME CAUTION .. Go to new Rochelle or white plains instead i highly recommend New Rochelle . I give this bronx location 0 stars
