They had good and I would say reasonably priced clothes, but their choice of music was not appropriate. I was shopping with my baby sister and all the songs playing during the 15-20 min we were there were by ladies like cardi b / Meghan the stallion Not saying anything wrong with them. However all the songs were about s*x. Like very obviously, almost having to bleep half the song out or playing the explicit version. Wish they played something more child appropriate
plato’s used to be great, but it seems like they may have hired a new staff or even new management that they had a couple years ago. the clothes are fine, still reasonably priced. however, the choice in music is concerning. they play explicit songs very loud now, and it made me uncomfortable to listen to songs about s*x and dr*gs blaring through the speakers while shopping. i have nothing against this kind of music, but i don’t think it is appropriate for a place of business. i saw a mom and her child in the store while this music was blaring, and it made me feel uncomfortable that they’d play this kind of music with children around. they can say they play music that teens like, but if they play explicit music like this they’re cutting off a whole demographic of people who would otherwise happily spend their money there. i hate to see this business has gone down hill. other than that the employs are rude. i think they need to have a meeting about being a little more classy as a whole :
Upscale new and used brand name clothing thrift shop. Great place to find good deals. Customer service is good. Prices are acceptable.
The worst Plato’s I’ve ever been to. Honestly not worth wasting your time trying to donate here. They don’t take any quality brands AT ALL. Also, it’s always a wreck with clothes everywhere when you walk in & smells horrible.
I went to Plato's closet today and I love this store the prices are good and I got a lot of stuff I will tell other people to come here again and the customer service they where very nice and they helped me a lot and I will be going back later for black Friday.
This place is a real rip off. For example , My Daughter was trying to get an offer her $70 - $90 prom shoes. My friends were told they would buy them off of her reasonably. They had my daughter under the impression once they put them in the System. She had to except to the offer which was $3. My Daughter returned home upset .and told me what happened. So I went up there to give them the $3 they gave my daughter. I was told that I had to pay $10 plus tax to get the shoes returned to me. These people give the public almost pennies or nothing at all for merchandise. But salel those items for almost triple more than they give you..I want be going back or sending anyone there.I am sorry I hate to see people take advantage of the inexperienced young people......
Not worth the price they ask for. News flash they're used clothes not new. I feel like the price should be reasonable. Horrible customer service
I periodically visit the store for msu shirts, jackets and hats. Of course I end up purchasing other items due to their large and purchase worth my selection. The staff is friendly and helpful. What I like the most about my store experiences is the staff knowledge about their customer purchases. They will inform me when I enter if they have a new selection in the size that I typically purchase.
Plato’s Closet is in the business of ripping people off. Do not sale here. Wasted 3 hours of my Saturday and did not even make 1/4 of what my items all name brand shoes in fantastic condition were worth. First & last time doing business here. Be smarter than me - sale your items somewhere else.
They accepted 23 pieces never worn before items and accessories and only gave me $56.50! That’s like only 2 dollars per item! Please don’t go if you want to be low balled! You will do better selling items than online or other apps that you can sell clothes!
