Plato's Closet

We brought a box of brand new designer clothes that they sell inside their establishment. I know because I found several items of the same name but in worst conditions. Said our clothes wouldn't sell. But it has nothing to do with the clothes. It was us. My wife and I on our day off dressed casually in sweats and covered in tattoos, yeah I guess I would look at us different too. But did you know I own my own business and the season ended. All we were trying to do was make sure our kids had a good Christmas and pay some bills. These people are rude and very impatient with two people who have never been here before, so don't come here. The place is a mess. The front desk people are not help at all. They will definitely judge you and make you feel like your small because of your appearance. Do better Plato's closet because you are the epitome of what is wrong with the world today.

I had a great experience! Staff was really friendly. I had a lot of jeans that were in great condition and they took all of them and made me a great offer. If you’re selling make sure your clothes are in a bin or cardboard box. They can’t be in a bag.

Beyond disappointed. Today I went to sell about 30 items of clothing and only received $20 in return. The girls only took 6 items. I understand they need “trendy” or “in style” clothing, but as a girl who keeps up with things I know that the majority of my clothes are in style, as most of them were bought within the last few months. All of my clothes were clean, some of them still had tags, and most of them were hardly touched. When I called afterwords to ask what they look for when they take clothes, the lady couldn’t give the phone to the manager because there wasn’t one there which is pretty concerning considering the girls are pretty young. So I proceeded to ask the lady questions about what they look for in clothes and I barely got an answer. She was very rude and obviously did not know anything about her job from the answers I was receiving. Again, as someone who keeps up with what is in style and trendy, just glancing around the store I was confused. It gave very much 2010 vibes… definitely not in style. So to hear that I only got 6 items taken, i’m genuinely very confused. Maybe when the manager actually shows up for a shift they can reconsider the people they’ve hired, as they are rude, clueless, and obviously do not own trendy clothes either.

Umm... The first time I went three weeks ago it was decent but they don't give you much and this time I had brand new stuff that I bought offline and couldn't return in time and they only took one thing out of like 20. Sooo she was trippin .

I buy storage auctions. tried to sell cloths here. refused my stuff multiple times with them only buying a few items. the store is very messy. I seen a pair of shoes they bought from me for $5 going for $35. ended up selling items on ebay. 100% satisfaction from my customers. not sure what their deal is.

I have sold to Plato‘s closet, different locations though, several times before. I have had other good experiences at other locations although these were several years ago. It seems to have gone downhill quite a bit. I had many items from brands that the website says they are looking for such as Adidas, Nike, American eagle and so forth. I had quite a bit of clothing that I hoped they would take but they hardly took anything. To top it off two of the girls were arguing behind the counter while I was there. Pretty much a waste of time.

Eh I have mixed reviews.. but it just seems like they take what they like out of what you bring there. And then half the time doesn't make any sense because I had brand new clothes mixed with some old way over 2 years and they took the older over the new never been worn stuff. They are just very very picky

Hi, did went there gave out good brand clothes and seemly like they way of saying “ sorry we only take teen to college student clothes” but not only that they are slick talk and sure hell rip you off. Only from my experience. Besides yeah they got nice style taste and goood pricey I guess.

I must say that the new Owners have changed things up in this place in just a few days of taking over. Loved my new great experience here. -Clothes are organized -Store is clean and the bathrooms are openyay! -Actually paid good price for my items I am coming back!!!

Not worth taking your clothes here. Will give you little to no money for clothes in brand new condition w/ tags and appropriate season. Tried to sell 175$ sneakers only worn once and they offered me 8$….
