Communication from this office is a joke. They do not return calls, emails or messages. Getting refills on scripts requires walking in as they wont pick up the phone, or check messages on the refill request answering machine. My PA is good though, wish she worked somewhere else. I'm switching as soon as I can find an opening.
Scheduled appointment was at 11:20 waiting over an hour to even be seen by a doctor for my appointment. No one came to check up on me . Hope you don't have a schedule to keep the same day as your appointment because it seems they would rather all hangout and socialize than deal with their patients .
This place was awful. First, the wait was over an hour. Then I was met with broken equipment. My vitals were wrong and they just dismissed this. Never called me about my test results, I had to go there to get them. Avoid this place!
If I could give 0, I would. They do not want to deal with clients and especially not COVID clients. They “offer” walk in COVID testing for symptomatic people but you have to check in by calling. Well their way around that is to put you on hold for 20 minutes and when you hang up and call back around 10 times they don’t answer the phone and you can’t leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full. This place is a joke.
Ran out of my medicine- I was 2 days short of RX expiration. My pharmacy tried contacting starting on Saturday. They never responded. By the following Thursday without my medication and growing increasingly unwell- I called and left a message- no response. I called on Friday- no response. I left work early on Friday to go in person- I was told I needed to be seen to get a RX- I said that was fine, but no one returned my call to tell me. When I saw the doctor - she asked what was going on. I expressed I needed my RX renewed and my pharmacy and myself have been calling for 6 days to get a response with no luck. The doctor said “well we are a busy practice” A lot of doctors offices are busy- but Plattsburgh Medical Care is the only one I have ever had the displeasure of going to who does not care enough about their patients to return their calls. I received my RX and will never go there again. Dave yourself the heartache and just don’t go there. When they tell you your call is important to us- that’s just a pleasantry they like to use- it’s not actually the truth
It took me about 40 years to find a truly caring, compassionate, none judgmental and thorough doctor. It always feels like I'm visiting an old friend when I see her! It's humbling to find a respectable doctor like that! I found her at Plattsburgh Medical Care! Plus all the other doctors I've seen there, on sick days when I have a walk-in day are very friendly and professional. They are all top notch doctors there. You can trust that every single doctor there will take care of you and you'll always be in good hands!!
This is probably the worst place to go for any care . If your lucky to get a appointment it will not be on time. More than likely you will sit there for at least an hour. If you need to call for a next appointment good luck with that because no one will answer the phone ,an by some act of god some one answers the phone they will put you on hold an forget about you . Now if you get to see the doctor an they tell you there going to call the medicine in , well that doesn’t happen either unless you keep calling them back . The great thing is oh we got really busy here sorry about that . So if you need help I would not be going here , there’s an atmosphere of you don’t matter.
They do not answer their phone. They do not return calls. They do not follow up with you; even if they leave a voicemail saying they will ‘soon’ - I cannot express how disappointed I am in this facility.
I see Brandy Manchester here and she is wonderful. She takes the time to answer all of my questions, and ensures I understand. I never feel rushed or ignored which is so refreshing. I have seen other providers in the office on sick visits and they are great as well. I would highly recommend this office if you are looking for a provider.
Sarah Howell and her Nurse Andrew are amazing! Yes it can be a bit of a wait to see them but well worth it. They both truly care about patients and address your concerns.
