Playa Bowls

Stopped by today for the first time with my partner & had an amazing experience. Ambience and decor is beautiful. Nice music & a friendly staff. The young lady that took our order Natalie was very knowledgeable of the Menu and made our decision making easier. Bowls were fantastic! Will be back again !

Walking in the new building Today i was reminded why I absolutely love playa bowls from the cozy beach vacation atmosphere and decor to the warm and welcoming customer service i always receive its always a pleasure. I order my custom açaí bowl i have a tree nut allergy and its the only bowl i can eat but its never fails and misses only flavor is impeccable fresh very fresh fruit and ingredients that make you feel healthy from just smelling the fruit when you walk through the door! The service is always fast and efficient came on my lunch break only took 6 mins from order to walk out! And Tye the manger / partner is always a breathe of fresh air to speak to always striving to put his customers first and make them feel at home! Playa bowls is the only place of its kind in the area serving quality ingredients no can’s and refined sugars real fresh fruit in everything they do 10 stars rating 10/10

Fresh and Delicious!!! Go when it's not too busy. I wish it was one closer to my job in Suitland, MD. I get the Pura Vida add bananas and Plant based Vanilla Protein. It's the best. I took pictures of this one because it was the best so far with ta lot of fresh fruit.

I am eating my bowl right now and it tastes like liquid gold. This is the best açaí bowl ever and Playa put their whole heart into this! Would recommend

The bowls are great here but the staff needs to change their gloves more often. I witnessed an employee taking payments with gloves on and then physically putting his gloves down in the frozen fruit to make peoples bowls. The employees are also not using the utensils provided to make the bowls, they are touching everything then digging their gloves in the toppings.

I was so looking forward to trying Playa Bowls—I had seen it advertised all over my Facebook. I ordered online for pickup for my entire family. I got there, and they had marked my order as complete but told me they were out of the honey I had ordered. That’s completely fine, but they told me they could not refund me for the $12 honey my card had already been charged for. I was told to check and see if I could do it through the app—no luck there AND I emailed their help email waiting over a week before posting on his review and nobody has gotten back to me. I can look past the soupy smoothies and half spilt coffee handed to me in the bag bc it was a pick up order, but it’s completely unreasonable to refuse a refund for a product I was not given.

Blatant racism!!! My brothers went into this location on Saturday Feb 4,2023 and was treated horribly! The cashier looked them in the face a white male and didn’t greet them. They spoke to him and asked him “how are you?” and he said to them “uhh yea”. They placed their orders and a young white female told them it would be a 25-30 minute wait and said “if you still want it”. As white Patrons entered the store they were greeted with excitement. The Playa Bowls Staff ended up giving their orders away and made them wait to have them made again. The young white female who made the orders rolled her eyes when they told her that they wanted to wait. Really Playa Bowls?! This won’t be the last you will hear of this issue. My network has no issues planning a protest at this location.

I ordered the “Nica Bowl”... and it was amazing!!! It was fresh and tasty... I never had anything like it... I loved the blend of fruits, granola, and peanut butter. The part near the bottom of the bowl was like a smoothie with a layer of granola on the bottom. It was so good and I am going to recommend this place to everyone!

I was literally taken on a trip to a tropical Island with the ambiance at playa bowls.I absolutely loved the feeling it gave me.I ordered the pura Vida açaí bowl and it was so yum and satisfying. I couldn’t fault it. First time here and YES, I will be back again... I’m beyond frustrated with this branch of playa bowl. I ordered four bowls of açaí different flavors/types via Ubereats. When it arrived, only two bowls were in my delivery, the two bowls were also with incomplete toppings; they both had only banana and granola. I called them and they cut the call. I called back and they responded with Ubereats will need to resolve it and not them. Bear in mind, this is NOT the first time I willl be experiencing this with this branch. They did it once before and I had to go in to complain. I’m just so frustrated. I will never be coming back to order from here again.
