This is a great atmosphere pub feel. The staff welcomed our party of seven and quickly had a table. We actually had a choice of upstairs or outside. Good food choices. Drinks were good as well. Service was okay. Kept having to ask for things... Basics i.e. water, napkins, condiments, etc. Maybe just an off night for a busy place. We did have a couple of appetizers that arrived before our meal. Food was prepared quickly and served. We all enjoyed our different choices. I don't think you can go wrong depending on what you like. I would go there again when in NYC.
Came in for a quick drink and bite before catching a show. Service was top notch and the drinks and food both came very quickly! My martini was cold and salty like I like, and the potato skins were creamy and super flavorful. The place has a great vibe as well.
Stopped here for a quick drink. Not a huge place but a nice cosy atmosphere. It's an Irish bar so there was no other choice than a pint of Guinness for me. I love sitting on the long counter bar enjoying the conversation around me. Nice little bar for a stop off
This is a really nice place A good place to meet up with friends family associates acquaintances. You can see quite a bit of the city as people go by to relax good drink the staff very friendly very helpful. We were out of towners and you can tell we were out of towners. The staff helpful on the menu we sat down for drinks we didn't eat but even so very nice hostess and a nice waitress as well funny she should start a comedian circuit for herself. The drinks were interesting from the crew I myself as you can see from the pictures have water with lemon. From the silent traveler to all of you have a great day and enjoy New York
Staff was friendly. Food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait. The spicy margarita was really good, the wings and calamari .
It is a nice place, that has a great location! It is located almost on the Times Square. They serve good pub food. I ordered Grilled Turkey Burger and it was good. The drinks were amazing. I had White Chocolate Martini. It was s tasty. The place by itself is pretty crowded, they have tables outside as well.
Very good food and good service! I had their Oktoberfest special platter and my wife had the pasta paisano and both were very tasty. Our waitress only came by once after taking our order and that was to clear plates and get us the check, but to be fair, we were sitting outside. I would recommend stopping by and grabbing dinner at Playwright!
Smack bang in the middle of Times Square. A great place for a drink in the bar or meal in the eating/restaurant area. The food is average to good pub fare at Times Square prices. Around $20+ for a main. But who cares! You ARE in Times Square and the atmosphere more than makes up for it. The beer is cold and good, the servers are friendly and the food came fast despite it being really busy in the weeks leading to Christmas. We arrived at 11pm for a really late dinner and the place was hopping. With a full bar and seating on multiple levels, stained glass windows and a really cozy, warm, and inviting space, it's a really good alternative to the franchises around the area. Being a tourist area, they do add a tip to your final bill so be aware of that. You can always add a couple of dollars to bring the tip up to the 20% mark as we did. If you're looking for fun rather than 5 -star, I'd recommend this place wholeheartedly.
A nice hole in the wall to pop in and have a drink after navigating the cacophony of times Square. Service was fast and helpful. Atmosphere was relaxed, sports playing on the screens and people just slowing down to enjoy the moment.
Bar service was awesome. Food was great. Location and atmosphere and price were all great. Waitress not so much. 12/27/22 upstairs dining at 845pm. She Took our orders and then we never saw her again. Had to flag someone down for our bill. And 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill so we could not even dock her for not checking on us.
