Great place to take the kids every so often, typically whenever the special exhibit changes. My daughter loves the grocery shopping area sponsored by Giant. So much fun and very interactive to keep the kids entertained. Also keep an eye on the special events going on for the day. Arts and crafts, story time and other things are nice to participate in amongst all the other areas. Would recommend getting there first thing so you don't have to wait to get in.
This place is awesome for little kids. My babies are 5 and 0 and there truly is a little something for everyone here. There are so many cool interactive exhibits and imaginary play spaces for the kiddos that you could easily spend a few hours there. You can either pack your own snacks or grab something from the cafe. There is cafeteria seating available for lunch and refillable water bottle stations throughout. They even have a cute little theatre where they do different shows. They did such a cool Kwanzaa presentation last month. A bonus is that they also have an indoor carousel. $5 for unlimited rides. Definitely money and time well spent.
Absolute gem of a place. Excellent place for 1 to 6 or even 7 year old kids to have fun in many areas. Place to have fun with water, painting, grocery store set, pizza and cake kitchen and lots more interesting things for kids. My son loved it so much that I’m thinking of bringing him here at least once a month. There is a carousel as well with unlimited rides. There is a parking facility but you can also park in the near by streets. Highly recommend this place .
This place is amazing. I have a 10month old granddaughter and I was skeptical that there would be enough for her to do. Not only is is there plenty for all ages but the staff there are very interactive with the kids and engaged her completely. They have a cafe there that was good. The pizza was better than average and they have a case of Bassetts ice cream. The accessibility is good. I could easily navigate the museum with my scooter and easily access the bathrooms. Parking was accessible and easy to reach from the building entrance.
The kids definitely enjoyed themselves. I took off a star because I feel there's much more they could do with such a big building! We enjoyed the workshops they offered as well! The rocket launcher was a huge hit with everyone who went back there not just our family. The Alice in wonderland theme was very fun! Hard to maneuver with anything outside of a umbrella stroller, but still fun!
My daughter absolutely loves it here. I highly recommend trying out their little-kid-friendly art classes downstairs, their staff are amazing with kids and easily handle a big classroom while taking walk-ins as they teach. Their method for clearing out the lower level by starting a parade and handing out instruments and guiding everyone upstairs is adorable, genius and hilarious. There is SO much to do and see, and the updates work really well. Love love love it. Worth every penny of our membership.
Great place for kids, lots of exhibits and fun areas for them to play around. Highly recommend coming early as this place closes exactly at 4:30 PM and there are few sessions like Arts class that ends by 3 which are a great way for kids to learn new skills, Carousel closes at 4:00 so which is one of the main attraction here and something you shouldn't miss. Plenty of parking space, Small cafeteria available. You need at least 2 hours to see everything. The Space, Grocery store exhibits were really good. IG: journey_man16
It's a wonderful place! I wish they would enforce masks throughout the building. The guard at the front door said something to my son because it wasn't over his whole nose but once you get it there were adults and children everywhere with no masks. Otherwise it was a great experience. The little grocery store area downstairs is the cutest !
The Emotions at Play exhibit is great! There are so many stations to interact with, and the kiddos are familiar with the colorful characters. Visit the outer space area and find the customized windows adorned with the phases of the moon, another window with planet colored circles, and a 3D hanging replica of the planets hanging from the ceiling. If you're looking down, you'll see a rocket ship hop scotch leading you to the new Doctors office equipped with an MRI, CAT scan, and x-ray machine. Then you can go grocery shopping with mini shopping carts and lots of food choices. The self-checkout is a big hit along with the pizza oven and grill. The Carousel is beautiful and fun. There are so many things to do and see! They also have lockers, a coat check, and wheelchair rentals. 5 stars!
One of the best children's museums we've visited! Our kids happily spent an entire day here. We thought the entry room, water play area and Alice in Wonderland areas were beautifully done. The food area on the lower level was the kids favorite, it has lots of fun details for imagination play. The cafe food disappointed everyone but it's very nice that they let you bring in your own and have something to eat on site.
