I was told I had to come back to get quarters because the teller didn’t have any, but the employee who did was on lunch for one hour. I don’t have time other than my lunch break to come and get quarters, this is unacceptable. I can understand if the branch is completely out, but if you have the quarters, they should be available for PNC customers during all business hours. I will be continuing my primary services with Chase bank and will likely close this account.
Horrible customer service. I have been a PNC customer for over 20 years. It is definitely time for me to find another bank. This branch is the worst, but the service at others is not much better. There is an attitude that they are doing you a favor. I have never seen anything like it. To be honest I feel there is a climate of not enough good qualified workers and these companies take what they can get. The employees know nothing will happen to them. It is a state of the climate right now everywhere. Very sad, no one cares.
Waited here 30 min just for a debit card! Worst customer service ever! I highly would not recommend banking here. Oh yea and the 30 min wait was just for them to figure out what I came in for . A total of a hour wait for a debit card with no one in line
Came here to cash a check that was written out in my legal AMERICAN name. The clerk told me that the [Americanized] name did not match the name on my ID, and they couldn't help me. Ended up going to a different PNC Bank just outside of Philadelphia. The manager there apologized for the bad experience I had at the 40th and Walnut location. Its like this PNC location 40th and Walnut doesn't want foreigners doing business there. Of all the banks I ever dealt with, PNC has some of the worst customer service. If you're an Americanized immigrant, don't go to this branch. They will discriminate against you.
I went to this branch two weeks ago because my name was spelled wrong in my debit card. I had been waiting for 30 minutes. A customer service guy named Karl who knew I was the next one to assist. But he skipped me and helped a lady who he knew and should be behind me. He started to assist me after I complained. He seemed unhappy. He said he cannot give me new debit card right away and asked me to go to bank teller to active my account. There was ten people in the waiting line. I just left and came back at the next day. A lady helped me to get the new debit card with my correct name in 15 minutes. I was glad I didn't listen to Mr. Karl's wrong direction. After one week, I went to the branch again due to service fee. He didn't solve the problem. I am very disappointed about Mr. Karl's attitude and he is incapable for his job.
Really disappointing customer service. I had been waiting for someone to help me for 30 mins i was the only one there for 20 of those mins, and when someone finally came out, another girl cut the line. Why do they even bother have us “sign in” if they don’t even look at the list?! I then got a parking ticket, so an all around awful experience. I hope I never have to visit this PNC again. HOWEVER, I will say that the security guard was very nice and he deserves high praise
I was the only person sitting in the customer service area for 20 minutes and the customer service person ignored me. I figured he was busy finishing work for the last customer so I waited. After waiting so long, I went to the window to see if maybe they could help me, and they told me I had to wait back in customer service area. I waited there another 10 minutes, and I watched him assist the people who walked in after me. That's when I left. I happened to have on gym clothes and I was on my way to get a haircut. I truly hope that my appearance wasn't the motivation for being ignored, given this is in an area that caters mostly to Penn students and faculty... SMH. I have 3 accounts and 2 credit cards with PNC, btw.... Update: I drove 4 blocks to the 36th St location, and had a fantastic experience. Do yourself a favor and just go to that location instead.
I have been financing my car from them for years. At first the experience was good and friendly. However this year took a turn for the worse. In February of 2018 I was scheduled to close on my first home. On the Thursday prior to my closing I was over billed by $1300 causing me to have insufficient funds to purchase my home. I was put in contact with a manager by the name of Joseph Dietz I believe that how you spell his last name. I explained my situation and he assured me he would get my money back to me. Luckily I was able to scrounge enough money to purchase my home and not be homeless as my previous lease ended on the same day as my closing date. I continued to reach of to Joseph and he would screen my calls and not return my calls. It wasnt until I started calling from different numbers that he answered. It was over a month until I recieved my money back. Now another issue has occurred. My father passed away on may 1st. I applied for an two month extension due to unexpected expenses. However they never filed it and caused my account to stay active and go delinquent. Spoke to several managers at different branches. Showed no care or concerns and only demanded payment. Well as of this morning they had my car repossessed. Even today I spoke to another manager explained everything and it was just "oh I'm sorry" then started going over bills and fees. I would not recommend using them. I understand they are a business but when your company makes mistakes after mistakes and shows no remorse and makes no attempt to correct the situation they do not deserve your business nor your money.
Customer service sucks!! I was fourth person in the line and I still waited 45 min for my turn. The turn did not come but I had to leave for next work. Except customer service, rest everything is good. Customer service people are very slow and do not care if the line is getting bigger.
I still continue to do my banking business at this location. I still believe and know from personal experience that this particular branch and the employees within it continue to be #1! I continue to like being informed about and shown how to take full advantage of their many banking services. These things are so very important to me. Thank you everybody!
