Asked for a simple trouser alteration, not really looking at the trouser but looking at me, decided the alteration would be $70.00 for one pair of pants. There is no standard pricing menu. I believe she made up the price. There is no way having a pair of pants tapered would cost that much. Needless to say but I'll say it anyway, I will not be doing business with them and I'm saddened by the exchange.
Polaris Cleaners has been our dry cleaner for four years. We have spent thousands of dollars here. The counter staff knows us and are pleasant. The owner has a very bad attitude about customer service: - They denied losing my favorite shirt a pink striped number from Charles Tyrwhitt. No compensation for it. - They don't spot check anything. Broken buttons and missed stains are routine. - Their process does not remove perspiration smells. Even after we mentioned a smelly armpit on two dresses, the re-clean had no better affect and we're not particularly smelly people. - They lost a belt from the dress we described as smelly. Despite the fact that this business is within spitting distance of our home, Polaris has used up its nine lives and is now offficially dead to us. Anyone have a suggestion for our next cleaner?
I was wary of using these cleaners after the reading the reviews, but after several good reviews from my coworkers I took my cleaning over. I only have had trousers dry cleaned here, but they came back in good condition. The service wasn't anything special, but it wasn't abysmal either.
Never got clothes laundered here but had a shirt that I needed pressed urgently, they kindly helped me get it done without a wait.
Terribly rude owner. Poor quality dry clean service. As agreed by Yelp users.
Horrible, in profession closes way before internet hours.
