Came in here exactly a week ago. Came in to get full set and pedicure since I would be getting married that weekend. Staff was very friendly, I was actually one of their first customers. Place was clean and they gave me water. They both worked on me at the same time. Julie who was the person who did my nails did a great job, however when another customer arrived she began rushing through my nails since I’m assuming she was the only nail tech at the time. I paid about 80$ including the tip for my nails and pedicure, thought it was a little over priced but like I mentioned before they both did a great job. Sadly I got my nails done on Tuesday and several days later my pedi which included “gel” nails is actually already chipped off which I’ve never had that before and the complete horror story about my nails. I’m not exactly sure what’s happening to my hands at this point but it’s either an allergic reaction to the products they use or it’s some kind of fungus. I have severe itching and blisters have formed all around my fingers only getting worse by day. I have NOT been able to attend a Dr visit due to transportation at the moment but if this doesn’t get any better I will have to run to the emergency room. So much of a casualty that since I use my fingers to put on my contacts I have also “infected” my eyes or at least have had to stop using them since my eyes got swollen and bloodshot red. Any how has this happened to anyone else?? I have pictures of everything.
I went there for something simple and I love it! The girl that was doing my nails was really patience with me. The place is clean and it’s a relaxing place to environment, super cute too! I also saw other people’s nails and their nails looked amazing!
SALON HORROR STORY, DO NOT come here! I had been following this salon on social media for a few months I had broke like 5 nails with Christmas prep so I thought this would be a good time to try so I’m so sad my experience was so bad I feel obligated to review. I had an appointment at 2pm with Kevin. I asked if they had a sooner time available I finished my exam early and they sure, 1pm. I come and am told by one woman that they accidentally double-booked & asked me to wait for her. Didn’t bother me, I could wait & I didn’t care if Kevin did them specifically just acrylic removal & a gel mani. A different woman comes and asks if she could start taking off my set, sure. She tries to sell me on the dip like 3 times but I told her I already had a new set scheduled in 2 weeks, I just couldn’t have so many brokens in the meantime. She first clips off my natural length with the acrylic & I’m like nooo, it was like 4 months of even natural length she ruined so I ask her not to clip them shorter than my actual nails Isn’t that standard THEN, amazingly she began to peel off my old acrylic no salon or tech has ever done that to me. I was immediately in pain and asked her to drill and soak like usual, but she said “that would take to long” & continued. I had to ask again for her to stop, repeating that it actually hurt. She said that she was popping them off fine & I had reply “Just because they are coming off doesn’t mean it does not HURT.” She didn’t stop, I took my hand back and asked for a file to file them myself rather then let her continue to just RUIN my natural nails they still hurt the next day as I write this by ripping them off. She does and starts filing her own nails as I started mine and laughing. Once she realized I was serious and not stopping, she asked me to move desks I was originally the first desk facing the entrance, then moved to a father desk with my back to the windows & door, I wonder why. I’m 3 nails away from being done with both hands when the first lady comes running back and says she’ll help me. She also tries to sell me on the dip powder, I tell her my appt is 2 weeks & I’ve had them before a couple times so I’m okay off of it I know dip is still acrylic too THEN SHE DOES THE SAME THING & starts trying to rip them off with a new tip. I ask again to just soak them, I’ve already filed them down so it won’t take long like they’re so afraid of apparently. She also continues. I let her know that she’s hurting me. “They’re coming off though” she replies and continues. Once again I point out that the ACTUAL PAIN is not mutually exclusive to her pulling them off, but she keeps going! I’ve finally had it after asking TWO PEOPLE SEVEN TIMES and say “Look, I’m BEGGING you to just soak them “ and she FINALLY does. The acrylic was soaked off fine in less than 5 minutes so I really have no idea why they were avoiding it soo much. They wanted to charge $28 but I have them $35, I was only there for an hour and a half. You should never have to argue for any service you’re paying for, even less so when you’ve said you’re in pain seven times I counted because I couldn’t believe I needed to say it so much. I’m never coming near this place ever again and I do NOT recommend it. I sincerely wish I asked those woman’s names because I genuinely think they wanted to hurt me! What SALON or NAIL TECH AT ALL PULLS/PEELS OFF ACRYLIC?! Not a reputable one, I’m still floored. Here’s what I walked out with, peep those different lengths :’
They will assault you and cut your nails off by force if you ask for a refund. Cops were called and everything. If you don’t want to be attacked for asking for a refund then don’t come here!
I was just there about 2.5 hours, the place is nice and clean. I was there for a Pedicure. I have asked the Pedicure Technician for a design about 4 times. She acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Another employee had to let her know in her language. Then Ruby, said no design. If the customer service doesn't improve this place won't last. It all started bad as I walked in, the receptionist promised me a Menu at the beginning and never got it. I even had to come home and dry my toe nails on my own. I am not coming back unless the customer sercice improves.
I made an appointment almost a week ago for me and my daughter for 2 gel manicures and 1 pedicure at 10am when they open because we were coming in town for a wedding. I get there and no one is in the building until 10:15! I almost left. So the one guy comes in late and takes almost an hour to do my daughter's nails terribly and asks if I can come back to get mine done. I said no, then paid him and left and went to Blue Diamond nails. Never again will I be back to Polished Nails. It would have been nice if he told us he couldn't do marble before he started on my daughter. It literally looks like he drew a few messed up lines on her nails.
They didn't have the color I wanted then when I asked for a design I was told it wouldn't look right because I didn't get gel nails?? There is not a lot if nail polish colors to choose from and when you ask for a design They dont bother to go out of their way to help. They need to bring back the girls that worked there when they first opened. They had talent and cared that you walked out happy and satisfied.
I went there for the first time yesterday because I heard great reviews. So my friend and I made appointments at 6 pm. We got there before time and didn’t get attended until 7pm! We both asked for full sets. When I finally got attended I told the nail tech I wanted short coffin shaped nails, she refused to do the short instead made them super long when I asked her to cut them down she told me no that they would look ugly, I kept insisting but she refused. She continued doing her thing and when it came down to color, I asked for a specific design that they show on their Instagram page, instead I got something completely different. I did mention it to her and AGAIN she just told me this was better. My friend also got similar treatment except they kept insisting she should just get gel nails because by this point it was already passed 7 which is the time the close. It was the worst experience, I will never return nor recommend them.
