We like Dr. Comito and staff. They have a small town, personal feel to their service which we appreciate. So does Kona and Jimmy!
Everyone is so kind and caring and I consider Dr. COMITO to be my dog’s pediatrician and trusted animal advocate. Ernie goes there for the treats, of course, and I go there for the kind and caring staff. Always appreciate the good prices and help I get from Amber getting him to my truck! Good people
We love Dr. Comito! He takes excellent care of our pets and it is well-worth the short trip from Ankeny to Polk City.
We love Dr. Comito!!! He has treated our two dogs and one cat with so much caring even though one of our dogs is very anxious. Dr. Comito was formerly part of the faculty at Iowa State and is very knowledgeable. And, the office is conveniently open on Saturdays!
Dr Comito and his staff took excellent care of my red heeler. Their loving care help give her a good long life. It was incredibly hard to say goodbye to her but everyone was kind and so supportive. I’m looking forward to my rescue Sophie meeting Dr. Comito and the staff. I trust them and know she will receive the best care.
I recently moved to town and was looking for somewhere to get my dog spayed. When your first experience at a vet is trusting them to anesthetize and operate on your dog, you want the best. I was able to find that at Polk City Vet, I went under recommendation from a friend and had a great experience. My pup’s incision is healing up very nicely, it looks great, and Dr.Pam even hid all of the stitches so she has had nothing to mess with. I had all of my questions answered and I was able to drop her off and pick her up after the surgery on the same day.
Nice small town veterinary clinic. Reasonably priced. Very caring. Dr Comito is personable, down to earth, and knowledgeable.
They told me that my dog had cancer and there is nothing I can do. They never took x-rays or blood work to tell how far the cancer has spread or what type of cancers he has But with research I did find something Fido cure , the vet didn't want hear about it. So I called fido cure and they gave me a vet that is 2 hours away that does. Don't take your animals here ! The people are nice but the vet doesn't listen and he only assumes doesn't do anything else to make sure exactly what is wrong with your buddy
All staff and Dr are awesome down to earth people. 4 instead of 5 stars is because the word is out that it's a excellent Vet clinic and a busy busy place
