Food, service, & cleanness always consistent at this place. Food is made of good ingredients, and the taste is well balanced. With the somewhat minimalist presentation, the prices seem $2-3 high for lunch mains.
The crispy pad Thai was really delicious, and the waitress was really friendly. My drunken noodles had a nice flavor but there where barely any noodles and they were over cooked. I ordered mine with tofu and it only came with two pieces of medium sized tofu, so that dish was kind of a bummer. Also had the combo appetizer and that was pretty decent!
Melissa Thai Restaurant is absolutely fabulous. The atmosphere is relaxing which lends itself to a pleasant dining experience. The food, well it is the most important and the chef does not disappoint. The food is fresh, well prepared and delicious. Service receives an A+ - friendly and professional. I highly recommend.
The food was very tasty and we were excited that they had sticky rice & mango for dessert, it was divine. Would go here again and would recommend
I placed an order for lunch and received confirmation that the order was received and that my pick up time would be 20-30 minutes. When I went to the restaurant at the designated pick up time, the owner or staff told me that they forgot to call me to tell me that they weren’t able to make the food due to the restaurant not having gas. I was told that my order was going to be refunded, but I have yet to see any refund be processed and it has been 9days already.
Arrived at 6:30 for dinner, the restaurants peak time. Decor is minimalistic, nothing symbolizing Thailand here, I feel they went the modern route which is still nice. I started off with the Boston Blackthorn, it was stiff and similar to a Manhattan. Next up was the Tom Yum Shrimp soup, 3 large shrimp and 20 mushrooms, the broth was way overpowered by the taste of shrimp/seafood. I decided to order the red curry with chicken for my main course, this is a favorite dish of mine but I was a bit confused, as I've never had it served this way. Typically the chicken is within the curry. At Pon Thai they grill the chicken with the skin on. This was not what I had expected but I dealt with it. I don't think I'd order this dish from here again. The service was also so-so, I felt like the wait staff didn't want to be working and none of them were friendly or welcoming, just seemed like business as usual.
Food is absolutely delicious here, have tried dining in and take out-lunch and dinner -always delicious. Servers friendly and attentive.Food: 5/5
Good Thai food, but not the best. We got the duck, pad siew kiew and spicy eggplant. The duck was delicious but the rest of the dishes were good, but a bit too oily. Also, the flavours were a lot milder than expected. I wouldn't say it was my favourite Thai experience
Good food, but the in-person service has gone down hill. It took an hour to get an order of noodles this week. Seems they have so many line orders that that in-person orders get held up unreasonably. There were polite "I'm sorry for the wait" apologies, but it shows they're aware of the problem and either can't cope or don't have a better way of organizing things.
One of the best Thai restaurants in Brookline. Pad Thai dish was excellent. Service was quick and kind. Highly recommend
