My family moved from NH to GA recently. Like I'm sure most of you, I have read some horror stories about moving companies. Needless to say, I was extremely reluctant to search online. I actually found Pony Express on Home Advisor, so I thought it was the safest choice...it absolutely was the best decision. Josh, is so great t for whom to work, with prompt and effective communication. He had my move planned and set before our house even sold, so when it did sell, we were ready to go. His movers showed up on time and ready to work. They packed the truck carefully and efficiently, wrapping our furniture with protective blankets and plastic. All three guys were very friendly and respectful. Josh called to verify the truck was loaded appropriately and we were satisfied.
Once in GA, our truck was delivered on time. Our closing was an utter nightmare for about 4 hours. The three guys hired for the delivery were amazing. They waited patiently for us to arrive for two hours in the hot sun. I could not believe that they didn't give up and leave, I certainly would not have blamed them. Even with the long delay, they willingly worked late into the day to get us in the house. All three guys were so nice and sympathetic. Our belongings arrived safely and without one broken piece of furniture or boxed item. Josh called later that evening when he hadn't heard from his guys, to ensure that all was well and our move was successful.I relayed the disaster of the day and raved about his employees.
To anyone who is in need of an out-of-state or local move, I assure you that Pony Express will take care of you. They are reasonably priced and extremely well versed in the moving process. You will not regret using them...I sure don't!

I was very disappointed. I could tell that one of the movers was not properly trained on how to move things safely and how to pick up items in a way to not hurt himself. Also, they moved very slow, im not sure if it was because they knew they were getting paid by the hour so they took their time, but I didnt expect to pay almost double what I was quoted for to move 10 items.

My husband I were very impressed with the Pony Express team. All emails were answered promptly and all arrangements went smoothly. Also, there were no hidden surprises with the cost of the move.
Rawn, Rob and Zach did an excellent job from start to finish. They moved all our possessions with care, and were extremely organized in they loading and unloading of the truck.
The team not only did a great job, but it also was a pleasure to work with them. They were friendly and fun to be around.
We highly recommend Pony Express and would definitely use them again.

These guys are great! Josh is responsive and very easy to deal with and the movers are efficient and willing to go "above and beyond". Very clear pricing which seemed fair. Everything is upfront.
Thanks for a great experience.

I am super disappointed in their service. I have used Pony Express before with no issues. I guess it really is dependent on the movers themselves. If they still have not gotten rid of Jake, they need to, and you need to avoid him! I cannot believe what a poor (and lazy) attitude he had, and translated that into mistreatment of my belongings. First, wasted my time, costing me at least 2 hours more than needed - spent an extra 30+ minutes looping around my building even though I gave clear instructions about parking (came and left), took his time getting to the next building, and when he did, refused to just take an open spot at the end of the block of my building and wanted to wait around until spots opened up in front and wanted to walk off to talk to his boss and others. Seriously? And when I said, does it take all 3 of you to do that, why can't you start moving from that spot, he got snippy and clearly took it out on my belongings. He threw my moving boxes from the truck to bins (THREW!), a distance of at least 4 to 5 feet. Well not surprisingly, he broke 2 boxes of dishes, messed up legs of my bookshelf, left marks on my mattress, issues with my armoire, broke my stainglass art, owe, jammed other artwork into the bins against other things, warping at least 1 piece, etc.
Why the 1 star, because my move was on 8/21, I brought all of these issues to Josh, the owner, and nothing has been resolved. No reimbursements. He did have a furniture guy call to make repairs to that if needed, but no acknowledgement that the damage to my belongings is unacceptable and will be addressed. Josh, I am waiting. An appropriate response, rather than questioning how I packed the dishes (a 4-5 foot toss to the ground will break anything, come on), and properly training movers about customer service and how not to manhandle belongings, would raise the rating to at least recognize his efforts.
I really want to stay local and support local business, and have had success with Pony Express in the past, I know movers are not perfect and you may expect some minor issues, but major damage, discourteous service, insufficient person power, costing me more time, aggravation, and sadness over personal items I cannot replace, that is disappointing and crappy!
