SIGH…. What can I say. The owner has very nice healthy fish and he is the one behind the counter all the time. He had no prices listed anywhere and verbally said out loud the price after we asked him the price. It sounded very unprofessional because his prices jumped around from time to time in the past, and it makes it uncomfortable for us customers. The prices were high, as I remember paying about 45 dollars for a similar sized Picasso triggerfish somewhere else. … He did not offer us assistance or interact with us except after we gave him our money- which left me pondering. … His kids worked there and were a bit more helpful, but they’re only there sometimes. The large triggerfish that we bought is about 3-4 inches and cost us $75.00. As you can see- It was packed tightly in a small bag with a small amount of water for its journey. A large bag with plenty of swim space would have been better to keep the fish in less stress. They have a non refund policy for all fish once you buy them. … Would I go back there or recommend them? Yes I would. Unfortunately there aren’t any nearby places and the quality of his fish are good. Only two points to the owner- Offer customer service and keep the prices reasonable. … If you’re thinking about visiting this place: you will be very satisfied with their selection and quality of fish.
Great place for your saltwater needs. John jr. Is amazing he knows everything about corals. He answered all my questions and helped me with my tank. Incredible selection of corals. The selection and pricing are amazing. I recommend this place to anyone who is into saltwater reef systems.
Great selection and fish and corals are very healthy. Only thing is the no prices listed is annoying and feels sketchy. Feel like I end up buying less which ig is good for me. But I don’t feel like asking the prices of everything in the store so I choose only what I really really like to start asking. But I’m sure I’d buy more cheap frags if I knew they were cheap.
I work with John Jr very friendly. Answer all my questions. Big selection of corals & fish., great prices. They have 40 years of experience salt water fish & corals. a very happy customer.
Pop corals is great! Their fish are healthy and they always have a good selection of coral. I highly recommend this store for euphilias. Unfortunately they have a problem with aiptasia and vermetid snails. I dipped my corals but unfortunately both pests are now in my display tank. All I can say about that is to be VERY thorough when examining the corals you bring home. John and Emmanuel are always very friendly and are eager to answer any questions. I will definitely be coming back!
Going into Pop Corals was an amazing experience. The owner John was extremely knowledgeable, patient and never tried to upsell anything, great selection of corals, fair prices, healthy fish and immaculate tanks. Ended up picking up a Aussie bubble and a mocha storm clownfish, will be heading back to pick up a couple of torches.
My husband came home with Wellsophyllia Brain Coral today see picture, raving about how the owner Joe was really helpful and nice. The LPS selection is amazing and the store carries a broad range of Hanna Instruments.
Met in Raleigh, NC this evening for reefcon. Super nice folks gorgous coral. Really excellent all around. If they were closer i would ust them for my primary shop. Contrary to what at least one other reviewer said, all these reps and the whole staff were very nice, very cool people. Will see you guys next time!
Grate customer service! John is a very personable and knowledgeable guy. Great live coral selection and quality! Very one of a kind and rare pieces! From high end to basic corals. A must stop shop if you're in the reading hobby.
I ordered several pieces online and the owner John was so helpful and fun to talk to. He went out of his way to FaceTime me and show me what I ordered to make sure I liked it and even showed me his store. I can’t wait to meet him at the coral show here in Michigan in January. I highly recommend this store. All my corals showed up very healthy and opened in my aquarium the same day. You can tell they care about there costumers and the critters they sell.
