We left out of this terminal for our cruise. They definitely have the routine down for sure. We arrived way early for our boarding time but we were allowed to board anyway. We were boarded very quickly. Deembarking was some what of a cluster due to lack of signage pointing you in the direction to the shuttles to the parking lots. It was very easy to get pointed to the hotel shuttles instead. However, there was a very nice security officer manning the hotel shuttle that was happy to point us on in our desired direction. Galveston itself is a beautiful town. Make time to explore! The Historic Stand is just right across the street from the terminal!

Hey out there, All of you cruisers. This Port has a Super Staff. My last cruise from here, March 2018, one piece of my luggage was LOST. The staff was most helpful. They went to work, tracked, located, and returned my luggage in less than an hour. Kudos to Jackie. she was one of the main employees. Now, ,this may not seem to be an unusual feat. But, if you have any experience with Port of Galveston, you will understand.

While it feels strange to review a cruise terminal, I have to say that, being a frequent traveler, I was impressed be the way that everyone, even from various agencies, worked harmoniously to make the process of debarking the cruise efficient and painless. The porters went the extra mile to tend to our student group of 21 people. The security guards warmly welcomed us home as we came off the boat. Immigration officials were professional and yet very amiable; likewise were the customs officials. They got the job done while simultaneously winning the respect and cooperation of the travelers. That's how it's done right!

We went on a seven day cruise. It was our first one. When we went to check luggage, people were frantically trying to figure out where to go. There was no real direction. The people coming to get the bags didn’t go from the front of the line, and there were people cutting in line a lot, making the experience take more time than it should. It pays to be vocal and ask for them to take your bags instead of waiting patiently in line. Check in went very well, though. The men at that line showed us right where to go and the line did not take too terribly long. Once we got in line, it only took 15 minutes to get on the boat. We came about an hour before to check our bags, We came about 10 minutes before our check in time to board.

Easy breezy port. Even though the ship was late coming in they were very well organized except for the parking. Understandable because they needed to get parking spots cleared up for the new wave of customers. We ended up parking at a lot close by and cheaper and was within walking distance to the terminal.
