Great selection of fresh produce and locally sourced goods. This is one of the best local grocery stores in the area. It's won national awards and seems to treat customers and employees with respect. Sometimes prices are a little high, but inflation is making things expensive in general. Overall, you'll find pretty much anything you're looking for here.
Good selection of produce. Pretty good deli, they carry Dietz & Watson products. Staff is friendly. Bottle shop located in store which is nice to be able to be buy beer and wine there. Has quite a few products from small local businesses.
Let’s start by saying the staff and the store is amazing! But don’t buy any fruit from there all the strawberries black berries blue berries and of the berries they always have mold on them . I just went food shopping today and I should have looked but didn’t but all my fruits is bad with mold ! Idk how much money I waste just on buying moldy fruit
Just wanted to say congratulations for well deserved recognition for the awesome work and service provided by all of the employees there at IGA in Fishtown ! The service is always above and beyond. The store is always clean and stocked with the freshest produce and meat products. The shelves are always full and well maintained. I've noticed how much better this store has become since it was Thriftway. Rob is an awesome manager and Sue Mei is a fantastic cashier. Always so nice ! My only complaint is that I often notice things stocked on shelves are not being rotated. Stock clerks being lazy...???
Would have loved to continue shopping here had been for years in the past but the prices are outrageous and produce isn’t so great. I really do not understand how they get away with their prices. Unfortunately it seems like everyone in the neighborhood has to venture out to Trader Joe’s or wegmans in cherry hill to buy good, affordable food.
GOOD PLACE TO GET SHOT WITH A STRAY BULLET FROM THE GUARD AT THE KARCO ACROSS THE STREET. HES HUNTING SNACK CAKE THEIVES WITH AN AR-15 WITH A 30 ROUND CLIP OF 7.62MM.
I have been shopping here off & on since thriftway days. It has recently become my family's go-to grocery store though. The store is usually stocked well. The only thing I can never, ever find here is fresh croissants. They either don't make them if not, please start!, people buy them up before I can get there doubtful because I usually go early mornings or I go before they make them for the day? Some things you definitely have to check dates on sauces/dressings always seem to be the culprit for us... not expired but VERY close to it. The produce is always pretty damn fresh, which is a big plus. I'm a huge fan of being able to buy La Colombe cold brew here even though I rarely catch it in stock lol and the meat selection is always decent happy I can buy chorizo here!. I'd love to see pepper turkey and garlic cheddar with the rest of the lre sliced cold cuts and cheese for us early birds lol. I don't drink enough to have purchased alcohol here yet but it looks like they have a decent selection. I do know a lot of people that pick up their weekly drinks while grocery shopping here every week. I hate to say it, but this is one of the rare places along the strip that doesn't let addicts mill around outside all day and harass everyone and I appreciate that.
Store is dirty and they dont care about there customers. shoprite has better prices and better quality meats. Been going to thriftway for 30years and spend 400 dollars a month but that dont mean anything to them.. better off going to shoprite.were. they care about there customers. Watch out for over zelous security guard who will harass you for no reason at all.
Was accused of stealing a .79 cent store bag at checkout. Cashiers playing on their phones 99% of the time. I’m assuming this was to make it look as though they were doing their job today considering I’ve watched people walk out with carts full of stolen items lol won’t shop at this store ever again!!!!!
I've always found the Port Richmond IGA to have good selections, lots of nice looking produce, decent prices and no long lines. You can also get alcohol. I've never had a problem here with cleanliness, friendliness, or creeps.
