I started working with Lisa four years ago. She helped me transition through a miscarriage and then worked with me to heal my body and prepare it for an ultimately successful pregnancy. I am so grateful for her prenatal and postpartum care. Lisa is the only member of my care team that I have continued to see without stopping over the entirety of my journey, and I consider my treatments with her to be invaluable. We have worked together on many issues including quality of sleep, anxiety, depression, neck pain, digestion, hives, and more. Lisa goes above and beyond, often answering long emails and texts in between appointments. She is well-versed in Western and Eastern modalities including abdominal massage, cupping, and Chinese herbs, and I feel like she is a true partner with the other practitioners and doctors I see. I've recently had appointments with Hailey and have found her care to be functional as well as compassionate. Anyone who goes to Portland Acupuncture Studio will find true partners - and real friends - on their journey.

Lisa is simply fantastic!! Her treatments have helped to improve my sleep, regulate my hormones as well as provide a relaxing break in the week. Not only is Lisa a gifted acupuncturist, she is also a wonderful, compassionate and intuitive human being. My current medical journey is rather stressful and isolating. However, with Lisa as my acupuncturist, I feel that I have someone in my corner...someone who is so generous with her knowledge and support. I am immensely grateful for her!!

We’ve had a hard time getting pregnant since we got married. One of my friends recommended me an acupuncturist, Lisa Tongel. That made my life. Still we couldn't get pregnant as time passed, but Lisa was very thoughtful, cheerful and caring. I couldn’t talk about fertility issues with my friends and when I got depressed she encouraged me and offered useful advice, and not just for the sake of it, but real, evidence-based knowledge, so I could see hope again. Then finally we got pregnant! I can’t express how thankful I am! She has great skills and knowledge of acupuncture of course!, medicine, fertility, Chinese herbs, and more! Also, her studio is in Synergy Women’s Health Care. There are doctors present as well. So when I needs blood testing done she referred me to a doctor who on-site. That was very convenient. I highly recommend Lisa Tongel, a wonderful acupuncture practitioner, to anyone who is trying to get pregnant! Thank you for all your support Lisa! You are amazing!!!
