Great atmosphere and food, but the service was odd. The man taking our order couldn't hear over yelling and fans in the background, and walked out to be replaced by a new guy. We sat down to eat inside and could only hear the workers yelling to each other. The food was great however and the view of the street and plants was good. Overall would recommend, maybe order ahead? Usually not super busy on weekdays either. Parking: Hard to find spots Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of accessibility. No ramp, bell to ring for wheelchair, tables of various heights.
I love Potbelly’s, but the experience today was not the usual visit. There same to be a weird dynamics at this particular location. There were a ton of employees at the store, except when it was time to make the sandwiches, ring up the customers or be at all helpful to anyone. Since today was Valentine’s Day, the free offer was a free cookie with any sandwich purchase, I was like cool. I place my order with a very pleasant, professional young man, who seems to be the only one working. There was three other customers behind me, and this same employee was doing it ALL! Making sandwiches, taking overs and ringing up the customers. After about three or four sandwiches came out of the little conveyer belt there was a very rude employee working finally to put toppings on my sandwich. This store has the best location, one block from The White House, and on Pennsylvania Avenue. If you happen to go to this restaurant, pack your patience. Enjoy!
Very nice sandwich shop, had a BLT Skinny with a cup of broccoli cheese soup. Soup was fantastic and not runny. Sandwich was quite good and bacon was delicious.Food: 5/5
Staff is not very friendly, they ask for your order and they will ask you 10 times cause they don’t write it down. Not recommended we will not coming back again.Food: 5/5
Sandwich is very tasty and highly recommend. Location is very convenient. However, the customer service is less to be desired. Employees are very inattentive and prefer to be on their phones rather than serve the customer, prepare the food, and check them out. They are very slow, stand-offish, do not speak up, and look at you as if you are bothering them. There were only 3 people ahead of me and they had to wait a significant amount of time so they could get off their phones and do their job. Management - this is a trend at this location with multiple customer complaints. Please address the issue at hand.
Don't ever stand in line here. There was only one person in front of me, but the workers were so busy assembling online orders that my sandwich sat there until it was cold. Gross. This location is a hard-no.
Yes, it was great! The service and food was great. The service, was even better, thanks to Tee! She is amazing and awesome. Her personality is kind and sweet. She has a genuine and pretty smile. Hopefully, she gets recognized and get a decent bonus. The turkey and swiss was great. It was fresh. Tee, wiped down our table and all. It is refreshening to see someone working who wants to work. Thank you ma'am. Hopefully management will let her know. Blessings always!
I love their food but they gotta get their online order system working properly. Every time I order online I walk in to an empty shelf. I always arrive 10 minutes after my pickup time and I still end up waiting. I've even watched people go through the line and get their food before I do even though I'm there after my pickup was supposed to be ready. The person bagging the food always looks stressed out and doing a balancing act of bags. I don't think they're being lazy or anything. I think it's just too much and there's not a good enough system to run both walkin's and pickup. I'd be fine if the pickup time were later, just want it to be accurate. Perhaps it's a corporate issue.
I have to say I purposely avoided Potbelly in the past because I assumed they wouldn’t have vegetarian options but I was mistaken. I went in today for the first time and got a veggie melt for lunch and it was fantastic. The ingredients are very fresh and just delicious. The staff was also very polite and efficient despite the long lines. I’ll certainly be back
In my first time ever in Potbelly Sandwich I thought It was a small business. They have niche sandwich and soups I really enjoy the Wreck Sandwich in the pick your pair promotion. The quality and the taste of food is good however the logistics are confusing. It would be better if they first ask for the product and take the money, the day I went there they just confuse at least 3 orders.
