How you rate this place really depends on what you want out of your time. If you are happy getting yelled at (not a joke) on every flight and being told that everything you are doing is wrong, on every flight, but you leave 5 days later with rating in hand, then this is the place for you. If you' are older than 5 and don't need to be yelled at and actually want an instructor that instructs then keep looking. The accomodations were great and Kathy is a wonderful host, in fact Herb is a great guy out of the airplane, but inside the plane it's probably time to hang it up. However in the end the checkride was a piece of cake, which makes me wonder if Herb is a genius and I was just super prepared for the check, or is flying twins way easier than he makes it out to be.

One of the most experience multi instructors in the nation. Website prices are not up to date but rates are very reasonable.

The instructor is very intelligent and probably one of the most proficient pilots I have ever met, but his method of teaching is not for everyone. He constantly yells to the point where it becomes ineffective and only impairs your learning experience. However, the instructor is kind outside of the airplane as well as his wife who also cooks great meals for the students.

Based on my experience I cannot recommend this flight school. Lots of yelling by the instructor, not much instruction. the prices listed are unrealistic. I witnessed multiple students leave with no ratings at all.

No other school can even come close. I am a captain of an airline because of this place. I have ran into people while jump seating home on a few airlines and came to find out the the first officer went to prarie air service. Thank you herb and Cathy. It was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.
