Came here to watch the Ravens in the AFC Championship which was a great local spot with loads of fans. The staff was super friendly and I really enjoyed the food. The fried pickles are fries so they are super easy to eat and the pickle doesn’t come flying out of the breading like the spears. The old bay hot wings were big and flavorful. And the crab cake was the star of the show. Obviously, Baltimore does crab cakes the right way, but this was a good one.
Location is perfect! Right in the heart of everything. Ballgame. Event. Concert. Everything. Staff was fun and great! Food was just okay. We ordered the Ale House chicken sandwich and Thai Chicken Salad. The chicken of one was too salty and the other too sugary. We’ll try again and order other things. The location is too great to not try again.
Where do I even start, this place hit the spot for late night dinning. I had the blackened chicken pasta / and my buddy had the fish & chips. Both were absolutely amazing. Will be coming back for the Brussels as they smelled & looked amazing but already had our food. Each of us tried many different ales that are unique to them. The faves were Octoberfest & everyday amber. Y'all this is a go to place if you're in the area. Highly recommend popping in. Vegetarian options: There are most definitely vegetarian options on the menu & our waitress was amazing. Kid-friendliness: Most definitely, even though this is an ale house there are fun things for all ages. Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to get around with a wheelchair.
Honestly embarrassing. Their mac n cheese was saved by great crab, as the pasta and cheese were cafeteria level. It didn't even have the breadcrumbs it advertised. Most disappointing meal in Baltimore I've ever had. We were starving and still didn't expect to finish our meals. Our server was clearly overwhelmed, ignoring us many times and not getting our orders for about 20 minutes after we sat. We waited 40 minutes to sit so it's not like we weren't ready. I had this on my list for some time, and I wish I never went. Tourist trap
I came here 3 times while I conferenced across the street. Each experience was great and I tried different things each time. The hoppy IPA they’re known for lives to the expectations. The Brussels sprouts and fried pickles appetizers were delicious! Wheelchair accessibility: Only accessible on ground floor.
This place wins because of its location close to many hotels and the convention center. It filled the need - food on a dark and chilly night when I didn't want to go far. I sat at the bar and the bartender was super nice and attentive. It's just not my type of place and the food was so-so. I got an overpriced crab cake sandwich that hit the spot on account of the delicious brioche bun always a win!, but it wasn't very flavorful. I got veggies on the side and they were clearly reheated frozen veggies not hating on the freezer section but.....
First of all during happy hour both levels of bar is very very pact, the service unfortunately gets slammed. My burger and fries came out cold and wasn’t made the way I ordered it, so it took about 30 min to get it sent back and remade. The fries still weren’t crispy but the burger was delicious and very juicy. We asked for the wings to be extra crispy but came out not crispy at all. I would go back for the burger alone when it’s not HH.
Stop in for an early lunch before the crowds. Beer and a crab sandwich did the trick. Sat at the bar. Bartender was fine and personable. A few other high top tables were used. Sandwich was great. Good lunch and visit. Do again. Day 2. Different bartender. I was rather irritated when I saw a mandatory tip already added to the bill. I was most likely going to leave the same amount but it is just annoying when it is entitled.
Highly Recommend This place was awesome!!! Our server was Arieanna, she was amazing! The entire staff was so friendly and helpful!! Wonderful service and great food. My fiancee got the shrimp basket, and I got the house salad but added shrimp and eggs. My fiancee even found a new craft beer, Chesapeake Original Cider, that he loved and even bought a few six packs to take back to West Virginia with us!! We will definitely be back on our next trip through Baltimore!!
I was pleasantly surprised. Went there after Ravens game and expected it to be touristy and high priced but it wasn't. We had wings and soft pretzels. Both were excellent! Wings were normal sized, plain skin, sauced well and not those ridiculous large breaded things. Pretzels were warm and soft melt in your mouth with tasty dipping sauces. Prices were more than fair. Good time!
