Story

Premier Veneers began as a residential, custom painting contractor in Romeo, Michigan in 1999. In our second year, we began receiving inquiries from customers about what could be done with basement concrete. Shortly thereafter, we decided to specialize in decorative finishes for concrete. Our first project turned out to be a huge success and won a national award for decorative finishes.

Subsequently, we grew our expertise in decorative concrete by joining trade associations like the Painting & Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA), American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), and Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC). We also became certified in the use of various companies’ products. This led to a second, large, acid-stained concrete flooring project in a restaurant in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

That project also won a national award, and our business took off from there. Over the past 16 years, we have installed a variety of decorative concrete projects for residential and commercial customers in the Detroit and Chicago areas - ranging from basement, kitchen, living room and garage floors to patios, driveways, porches, pool decks, and retaining walls to flooring in restaurants, retail stores, office spaces, and warehouses.

Today, we continue to install beautiful decorative concrete flooring that is recognized nationally and wins awards - most recently, a first place from NACE International, the “Corrosion Society”, in March 2017. Unlike most companies doing work in this field, we focus exclusively on decorative concrete. We are one of the few contractors anywhere with an official certification in decorative concrete, nationally, and from the State of Michigan - the only state in the nation with such a program.
