We first learned about Primrose through our friends who have their child enrolled at the school in Willow Glen. After having surveyed many daycare centers and attended many tours, we found Primrose's Balanced Learning Approach especially focus on language including sign-language, social-emotional development, the comprehensive Covid protocols, and the interactions with the leadership team and their responsiveness highly encouraging. We enrolled him at Cupertino starting in May 2022. The first couple of weeks were somewhat rough, as our son went through the natural period of adjustment to a new setting and the inevitable early illnesses that accompany starting daycare. However, the Primrose leadership team did a great job in priming us on what to expect. Once we got through this period, we saw many positive developments in our child that were a direct result of being at Primrose. He became much more social, his language skills and vocabulary improved exponentially, and he made many new friends to the point where he now even recognizes all of their parents in the hallway, much to their surprise. He was also being given very healthy and nutritious meals and snacks at school each day. He started learning how to be much more independent in this regard as well i.e. learning how to eat by himself. Seeing how good Primrose has been for our child, we would highly recommend this daycare option, especially for families with both parents working full-time.
We have two boys who attend Primrose and they have really thrived at this school. The teachers are excellent and both of our boys enjoy going to school everyday. Thank you, Primrose!
Our family was very impressed with the way Primrose school in Willow Glen has handled staying open during Covid-19. My husband and I both work in healthcare and when Covid shutdowns began, we weren’t sure what we do for childcare for our daughter. Amazingly, Primrose school decided to open up even though there were only 15 kids of essential workers in the entire school needing childcare at the time. Since then I’ve seen the staff, management and administration really step up to help our family and our daughter feel safe and comfortable during this time. Ms Monica, the director, wore many hats during that time and was able to help with keeping everything running smoothly. Since then Primrose has gradually opened the school up to more families, but we’ve felt comfortable the entire time with the measures they’ve put in place. When we arrive at school, all parents and staff are wearing masks, and everyone gets their temperature checked with a touch free thermometer before entering the building. Signing our daughter in and out is also now touchless, and is easily completed, along with a quick questionnaire about symptoms, via the school’s app. The classrooms are limited in size and the kids do not mix with other classrooms throughout the day. In addition, Primrose cleans the playground and classrooms twice a day so we know our daughter is safe. We are very lucky that Primrose has been able to find a way to stay open and provide a safe learning environment for our daughter and family.
Our 3 year-old daughter has been at Primrose for over a year now, and we love it. The staff is AMAZING, the curriculum is well-planned and well-executed, and she is really thriving there. Our active daughter needs a lot of structure, and this school provides that for her. She's also getting a great preschool education - she's learning letters, numbers, seasons, rhyming, writing, etc., and there is also plenty of time for free play, artwork, and outdoor play. They also provide all meals and snacks, which makes life for busy, working parents much easier. And they send pictures throughout the day, which I love. It's great to see what my daughter is up to all day. The teachers are incredible, patient, kind, and loving. Our daughter needs some extra attention settling down for her nap, and the teachers will rub her back and give her lots of love. The director, Jackie, is also amazing and really cares about the students and makes time for the parents as well. He's got his eyes and ears on everything going on at the school, and we know our daughter is in great hands. I would highly recommend the school!
Our daughter has been attending primrose willow glen for about 2 years. We love the school but most of all we love the teachers and the leadership. Jackie is amazing and is an advocate for the kids. The teachers are patient and loving. Classes are structured and have a nice balance between academics, arts and play. The best is when my daughter comes home with song after song that she learned that day. I knew we found a great place when my 2 year old came home and told me what photosynthesis was. : thank you primrose!
My great nephew attends Primrose School of Willow Glen and I have been extremely impressed. As an elementary school teacher and administrator myself, I know what to look for! It's all there: a clean and safe facility, a kind and professional staff, a rich curriculum, and developmentally appropriate learning materials and activities. He is happy to go to school each day and his parents are delighted with the positive attitudes toward learning and life! he is developing there.
Our daughter has been attending Primrose since June 2018 and LOVES it! Her teachers are wonderful and treat her like family. She looks forward to her days at Primrose. The administrative staff is so warm and friendly, and they all know my daughter by name, which shows me that they care about her, are attentive, and involved in her experience at the school.
