If you're looking to get your bartender's license, I can't recommend Profesional Bartending School in Arlington enough. From the moment you enroll to the day you graduate, the whole staff is hands on training in every aspect of bartending. The atmosphere really feels like you're working in a real bar with real bar related situations discussed and played out. I'd never been behind the bar before taking this class, but now that I've graduated, I can see myself behind the bar in a restaurant or bar thanks to PBS. Mario
I just took this class. The staff is incredible. They are all upbeat, informative and really seem to love their job and the students. I learned a ton in two weeks. The instructors I had Ty and Gabby They were both so energetic, helpful and knowledgeable. I looked forward to making over an hour commute daily. I miss the class now that I have graduated. Absolute worth doing! I didnt think I could do it but here I am. Thank you so much Ty and Gabby! Love you guys!
The class was phenomenal!!!! You get behind the bar immediately learning where things are and how to pour effectively. The Teachers and Staff are extremely friendly and and eager to help. The curriculum is a lot to take in but with the techniques given to remember recipes, the unlimited patience and re-assurance of the instructors, I was in the best possible place to learn the art of Mixology. Thanks for the life long skill, as well as, the added cool points PBS!!!!
Passed my speed test! Professional Bartending School provided excellent hands on training and plenty of practice time. The staff and instructors at PBS were amazing and they really care about students honing their skills. While you don't often see many 40 or 50 year-olds I'm 48 working at the "hottest nightclubs" downtown, you also don't see many 20 to 30 year-old people working in the super nice, fancy upscale hotel bars and lounges either, so it is really perfect for people looking for a second career or just a way to make more money. Highly recommended and great experience!
I attended and graduated from this school twice already. I first took the course in 2010 and enjoyed every minute of it. The instructors were knowledgeable, the lessons were easy to understand, and the lectures were fun and engaging. I am more of a hands-on person, so I had a great time practicing drink recipes behind a real bar set up. My second time around I took the refresher course, and had just as good of an experience as the first time. I even acquired more skills than before. I love the way that students are trained in this program. Although customer service can be tough and demanding, the instructors make learning fun, friendly, and rewarding. I walked away knowing how to pour drinks accurately and efficiently while maintaining an energetic vibe. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to bartend.
I went to this school 7 years ago! I did a event with SUGAR RIM who never payed us! I along with many others were vocal about not getting paid , and after weeks we all started calling the school. They were absolutely no help, they were on sugar rims side ! And I was told that “they can not afford to not work with people” even after they wrongfully not pay their workers. This was in June when the event happened. I noticed that I stopped receiving the emails for potential jobs, which is apart of going to this school. They say that they’ll send you jobs forever. They CHOSE me out of a list of 10-17 people to remove me off the list ! As if I did something! And wasn’t the victim! I reached out to a few other people who did the event who said yes they still receive the emails! Which is a CLEAR AND OBVIOUS CASE OF DISCRIMINATION!!!! Do not go here ! They work with people whom don’t pay the workers after the events! And if you speak up about it they will no longer send you jobs!
I had a blast in The Professional Bartender School in Arlington va. The classes where great the instructors kept you interested in learning more.
PBS works for everyone's schedule. Day time, evenings and/or weekends. They make learning fun and you will be able to remember it easily even after graduation, while on the job. You can get plenty of time before, after and in between class to practice making drinks. They also have job placement to help get a job! You can't beat that. And the icing on cake? The staff! They're helpful and amazing.
I walked in on a Friday to get some information on the school... Within minutes I was behind the bar learning and having fun. Two weeks later I was a certified bartender. I can honestly say that going to PBS was one of the best decisions I have made in years! I enjoy my career field now and will never find myself sitting in a cubicle again! Thank you PBS!
I took the two week Bartending class and it was the most fun I have had in a long time. The instructor is amazing and the class is very interactive. You learn so much in two weeks. I have never bartended before and after taking this class I feel like I have been in the industry for years. If you are looking to be a bartender or to gain new skills, this is the only place to go.
