I came here bursitis in my shoulder--limited range of motion, persistent discomfort and pain. I'm very pleased with the therapy I received. Maria did a great job addressing my needs and augmenting my PT throughout the process. Scheduling was easy. When I was first calling around to find physical therapy, some of the places simply didn't have enough availability. ProFlex was able to see me right away and I never had to worry about scheduling appointments. Everyone here was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
I have to say, honestly, that this is the absolute best Physical Therapy practice I have ever attended, and I have been to many. ~~ First of all, the place is never crowded, it is quiet and peaceful, with an air of serious pursuit of solving the patients’ various physical problems. Their initial assessments are thorough, and they invite one’s opinion and input. ~~ Serious consideration, on their part, is given to every aspect of what one is struggling with. The therapists presently working, Elena, and Maria, are highly-trained, compassionate and kind people. Even with working hard, which is required at times, it is a very pleasant, reassuring experience to be there. There are usually just a few patients being seen at one time, and the therapists devote totally-focused attention to each of their patients. ~~ This is the second time that I have attended this practice, and after just one and a half weeks, I can already feel improvement in my condition. Their willingness to combine targeted massage with targeted exercises makes the care you receive truly extraordinary. I can wholeheartedly recommend Proflex Physical Therapy, and I am happy to do that. They are just great.
My adult daughter who has Downs Syndrome received compassionate, personal and highly skilled professional care from her Physical Therapist at ProFlex Physical Therapy. All the staff were wonderful and accommodated our needs by providing flexibility when scheduling and changing appointments, knowledge of insurance coverage and greeted us with a smile. I cannot say enough about our experience and highly recommend them.
I can do squats again :. I have been doing physical therapy at ProFlex for the last month. They are amazing. This is the first time in my life that physical therapy has actually helped. I came in with chronic low back pain due to past injuries, and within a week, I started to see results. My therapist, Maria, has been great in not just finding ways to decrease my pain, but also educate me in new ways to increase strength and prevent further injuries. Highly recommend
I was referred to ProFlex for a frozen shoulder. I have worked mostly with Maria since mid-July to increase my range of motion and decrease my pain. Under her care, I have gradually seen improvement in how my shoulder feels and in what I can do. As I progressed, she pushed me to do more, but was always willing to listen if I wasn't comfortable with an exercise. My range of motion has improved greatly. Thanks, Maria! The whole staff at ProFlex was friendly and competent. I want to give a shout out to Margaret, who always greeted me with a friendly smile.
My experience for the last 4 months has been great. Everyone cares in this office. From the time you walk into the office, my interaction with Ms. Margaret is always uplifting and positive. Once I begin my session with my DPT, Maria, it's smooth sailing. Maria has brought down all the walls I had in the past and therefore carried a stereotyped about Physical Therapy. Proflex explains and teaches during your recovery process. This is so impressive while your feeling low and hurting after injury/surgeries. I would recommend Proflex to anyone. Thank you Maria and Team Proflex!
I've used various physical therapists off and on since 2013. The therapists at Proflex on Richmond Highway are the best I've ever had. I have been seeing them for sciatica. If my pain is severe when I walk in they give me a massage after I do my exercises and the pain eases like magic. No matter how bad I feel walking in, I feel good walking out. If I could afford it, or Medicare would pay it, I'd give them a room in my house and get a massage every day. In addition, the receptionist is exceptionally nice.
Excellent experience. Everyone is so friendly. I really enjoyed working with Maria. She is awesome along with the rest of the staff at Proflex. At the beginning the focus was on manual therapy and dry needling. The focus shifted more and more to exercises which ultimately made me feel better. I even had some billing issues with my FSA and the Proflex billing department took care of it all! I highly recommend!!!
I am currently working with Maria for a few problems. All have improved over the past few weeks. I realize that because of my diagnosis, I will never be 100% as when I was younger. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed. Margaret who is the receptionist/scheduler greets you with a smile and a very helpful attitude. Maria has been very patient and is working with me to gain the best results possible. I am a repeat patient who needs a 'tune up' about once a year.
After rupturing my patellar tendon playing basketball, I lost all confidence in being able to play sports again. Elleni and Monica helped me out SO MUCH! They helped me regain the mobility in my knee from the surgery and helped me strengthen my leg with basic exercises. They also told me what exercises I should do on my own and what exercises to avoid for the time being. I highly recommend Proflex Alexandria to anyone in need of physical therapy. Although I don't plan on playing basketball ever again, if the urge ever comes back I'm confident I could play just as well before my injury. All thanks to Elleni and Monica.
