Good insurance for single and faithfully married couples. If have or had a cheating not so truthful husband you know what I mean.
I called Roadside Assistance for the first time today 6/27/21 because I was stranded 45 miles into the Mojave Desert in southwest California, in 113° heat. I was told a tow truck would arrive in 50-60 minutes. After at least 45 minutes, I got a text saying the tow truck was canceled. I finally got reassigned to a towing company at least 10 minutes later, who gave me an ETA of 6 hours. By the time that tow truck arrived, I would have needed to be transported to a hospital for severe heatstroke, as again, it was 113° with no shade for miles. I was never contacted by am agent, but instead was only able to connect over the internet, so it was lucky I had some service. When the tow truck company owner called me, he also stated it was crazy that my insurance thought a 6 hour wait time in the desert was somehow okay. I ended up contacting my family who were able to walk me through next possible steps, because it was clear that Progressive would not do the bare minimum to help me. I've been a Progressive client for over 2 years, and am now considering canceling my insurance with them and using another provider, as Progressive left me in a situation that would have caused me severe harm or death. I am still overheated and have a headache and severe exhaustion, and still had to drive 4 hours longer to get home. Progressive never contacted me by phone, only by text, to ask if I received my tow truck, after the tow truck company owner called me back and checked on my safety, and let me know he could be with me in about 4 hours if he didn't run into traffic, accidents, and went the fastest he possibly could. Overall, I would not recommend reaching out to Progressive for Roadside Assistance, and would now not recommend Progressive as an insurer to any of my friends, families, or acquaintances.
I can't believe this insurance company.. they are the worst. You get little to no help even if you always make on time payments. Your rates rise on older vehicles instead of lowering even if it's just liability. I had to cancel my insurance with them because if I could barely afford what I was paying beforehand what makes them think I could pay a spike of $60? How does that even make sense? I cancelled it completely because, 'yes I got a better quote & overall monthly rate.' They're still charging me $30 ,no wonder they're still in Business. Crazy fees for just being alive.
Looking for insurance, let me tell you about my experience with PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE. I have full coverage with them and was in an accident with another customer of theirs so this claim is done 100% by progressive. My truck was totaled and they will pay off the remaining loan and I get $780 to get a new truck with. I put $4000 down on this truck and have been making my payment, I loved this truck had no problems with it and thought I was fully covered with them and this is what I get. In return a they will auction this vehicle off and make money on the back end to lessen their loss. The damage was estimated at $8,000 and the pay off amount is $9, 400 less the amount they get back from the sale of my vehicle. I get $780... Full coverage and I leave this situation with $780 and no truck. God bless Merica.
They canceled my insurance even though I have been paying them. No reason at all just out of no where turned it off. what a joke of a company. And they just did it again. I had thought that it was supposed to be auto pay but apparently everyone in this company is to stupid and cant do anything literally except not accept payments. as soon as i found out it was happening again i contacted them to get it fixed. They did not want to accept payment. i even tried to avoid calling because i'm not exactly nice to people that are stupid like the last manager i spoke with. They don't want your business. They don't even accept money for payment. The worst experience i have ever had and its not even my fault but i'm paying for it. Find another insurance company. At least geico accepts money. What a joke of a company. If you look the reviews you may notice a lot of the 5 star ones are employees. I wouldn't trust its rating. read all that you can and compare what you see is trending and how they really are!

They are the worst insurance company they ask for other people personal information ,we are in different address and they want me to give them my son in laws personal information. Because we both have progressive. And when we asked to speak to the supervisor they refused to and wanted to end the call. People don't waist your time or money!!!!
Got hit from behind at a stoplight and the lady who hit me had Progressive coverage. The two stars are because Progressive got ahold of me the next day and approved the claim. They get below zero for service after that but maybe I am just spoiled by the lizard that insures me. After the first contact the agent who started the claim acted like he could care less about getting my vehicle fixed quickly or doing the legwork necessary. All Progressive would pay for is a replacement nothing at all equal to what I drive my two grandkids back and forth to school in. I agree with the guy who said "take my advice-go with another company."
Horrible place to work. Constantly ripping ppl off with insurance rates going up for no reason. They claim its because the rates in that area or state went up but thats a lie that we were told to say. Not true at all. Rates went up so the company can profit more. Also the snapshot program is a joke. It can actually raise ur rates rather than lower it. I recomend switching to a different company cuz this ones a joke.
Worst place ever I had the snapshot program they sent me two devices, I sent thback in the package they provided and they say they didn't receive it. They did that to me twice and EA one is 50$ so 100$ in total! SCAMMERS
