The i-MENTOR Program matches freshmen Scholars with volunteer mentors from the business communities.
The Project GRAD iMentor program matches first-generation college students with business/industry professionals in the Houston area who mentor the student virtually (via text and email), therefore a professional can mentor from the comfort of their home or office. The mentoring program takes place during an academic year, from August 2016 to May 2017. Our staff helps connect the college student to a mentor and provides guidance to a mentor regarding what types of topics to discuss throughout the year through monthly prompts and mid-month check-ins.
