Prometric Testing Center

The test center administrators and nice, professional, and fast. Prometric - located on the 4th floor of the Student Services Building SSB, room 490 but in the Directory you'll see "testing center" in room 498.

Took my Step 3 exam here. The suite is on the 4th floor on your right if you enter from the parking lot. PROS: Staff were super nice and efficient Checking in was quick and easy and they weren’t irritated that I took a break every hour Only 20 computers in the room so it was pretty quiet there were about 10 people taking an exam meaning there wasn’t a lot of noise and movement Temperature was perfect I was wearing a sweatshirt The restrooms are super close to the testing room takes about 10 seconds to walk You can eat outside the testing rooms as there are numerous chairs outside, a table and chair near the elevator and in the middle of the hallway CONS: No free parking I was dropped off though so this didn’t bother me Perfect place to test! Highly recommend!

Staffs are always friendly. The test room is comfortable and clean. Easy to access near SLC main area. You need to pay for parking.

I've done 2 tests at this specific site and it has been a positive experience both times compared to other Prometric sites. Personnel here is what makes the difference compared to other locations. The noise canceling headphones are great and I've also been happy with the scratch paper/marker setup. Here they provide both a thick tip and fine tip marker, while at other Prometric sites I've only been provided with two thicker dry erase markers. Believe it or not, when writing info down those fine tip markers are next level. I'll be sure to schedule any remaining tests at this location.

Staff were nice. I used a Prometrics center in Arizona and you could hear everything. This one is way more soundproof and they have white noise machines. Loved it, made my 3 hour test a breeze. Nearest free parking is a 15 minute walk. It's on the 4th floor of the building btw

Best Prometric Center I've been to. Courteous staff and they quickly check you in/out even during unscheduled breaks of the exam whish is really good. Pretty accessible. The only downside is that they don't validate parking, so it costs $2 per hour that you're there. However, I want to be clear that this is a good site.

I’d give 0 if I could. Just left there trying to get my fingerprints done and the girl that helped me out was being so rude. Acted like her not knowing how to do her job was my fault. She swore several times and said the f word because I didn’t have information she wanted even though I was only supposed to bring a receipt. I arrived late but when I scheduled to do the fingerprint the lady that helped me on the phone said it was fine if I was late and the lady that helped me at the center kept throwing her hands up in the air like a teenager out of frustration for not knowing how to do her job. They sent me to another Prometrics center because of how bad they are at this one. People need to learn common communication skills and not be so rude.

I had an appointment at 9:00 A.M. I sat there for two hours and had to finally leave. Plan on spending a lot of time to get this done. The poor lady up front working on finger prints also has to do the lions share of the work for the testing center. Very disorganized and poorly run. Nice people though.

Fast and curteous check in. Quiet room. Bonus that it was a good temperature I've frozen my fingers off at other testing sites I've tested through prometric for many years and always had good experiences.

They sent me an email at 4:59 pm the day before my exam to tell me it’s cancelled. And they close at 5 pm so I couldn’t call. Some generic email was sent telling me to wait 5-7 days for an email about rescheduling. Ok!
