Gilda has been giving my son age 2 and daughter age 4 swimming lessons for the past two years. My daughter began swimming with Gilda since age 2 and within 6 months she was swimming independently. Now, she is learning all different strokes. My son started taking lessons at 11 months and Gilda eased him into the pool, giving him time to trust her. Not only is she an extremely skilled teacher, Gilda is very patient and tailors her lessons to each child’s individual needs. She has also taught both my kids confidence, endurance, perseverance, and commitment. These are lessons that all translate outside the pool as well. My kids can’t wait to jump in when it is their time to be with Gilda. Now, my husband and I can enjoy beach vacations with our family and have great piece of mind when we know our kids will be around a swimming pool.
Gilda is truly the best swim instructor. She was incredible with my 3 year old who was terrified of the water, extremely cautious, and shy with new people. She got him in the water and loving the pool after a few lessons...and fully swimming in less than a year. We are so glad we found her- she is a gem!
Our three-year-old son was taking group lessons with zero progress so we decided to explore private lessons. Gilda came highly recommended with good reason: within 5 weeks of his first lesson, he was already swimming safely. Soon after he was able to swim the pool length and retrieve items from the bottom of the pool! Our younger son began lessons with equally fast results. Even though we achieved our pool safety goals long ago, we continue their lessons because the confidence it gives them is priceless.
I cannot recommend Gilda highly enough. Gilda is a true child whisperer. She can connect with any child, from the easiest to the most stubborn, and help them them love the water and swimming. I wouldn't send my children anywhere else. As a result, both my kids were swimming like fish by the time they were three!
Gilda is patient, methodical, creative and very nice! She will understand your pace and needs, and will always find a way to teach you what you need to learn - no matter your age. She is the best swim teacher you could ever have!
