Story

We are a small collective of passionate artists with a singular mantra – design clothing for women of personality using only the finest, all natural methods available. Zarmina design the clothing in our studio/retail space in Washington DC. Our fabrics are hand-loomed and we use hand-stitching and embroidery, hand block-printing and other techniques that make our pieces unique and special.

Zarmina, owner and creator of Pua, has a natural sense of color and design. She started the company in 1991 designing exclusively in the pua fiber. Pua is the fiber of the stinging nettle plant, indigenous to the Himalayas of Nepal . Now she focuses on all natural and hand woven fabrics.
