Public GolfCourse - Shining Rock

Great course! Played with the Safari Club on 10/4. Course was in excellent condition throughout. Several elevation changes made for an interesting layout. Very challenging, but fair. This was our first visit to Shining Rock, and hopefully, we'll be playing it again next year.

Very nice course. It is one of the best coursed that the Safari Club has played this season. Its in excellent condition. The greens are shaped like a potato chip and very fast. Its like putting on a pool table . For a 30 handicap its tough. Give it a try.

Our Safari group traveled to the middle of the state to play this public golf course which is rated as one of the best in Massachusetts and it didn't disappoint us..The course layout is challenging and the conditions were great...Will be back again soon

This place gets 3 stars for value and 5 stars for service. I played here once last year and loved it. However, I believe the prices were raised this season so I was reluctant to play it again. I decided to give it a shot and I was rather disappointed. For the condition of the course, the price is a bit high. It seems to be a common theme in the area, as it seems courses continue to raise prices every year. My round was rained out by the 8th hole but the pro shop provided me with a credit for 9 holes and added a 10th hole for the inconvenience (still not sure of the point). Overall, if this place was 15%-20% cheaper I would play here more often.

Very challenging layout and great conditions. Play can get a bit slow due the previous sentence.
