Stellar meal and even better service!!! Lovely atmosphere, drinks were great, too! Generous portions. Highly recommend the meatloaf!
Great bar staff. Good food. Prices are totally reasonable. And if you stay at the NOPSI connected to the restaurant, you’ll get complimentary drink tickets. A fantastic spot in a fantastic town.
We stumbled on Public Service late on a Sunday, when many other restaurants had closed. First, we were taken by how incredibly *affordable* the prices were. Wow. It has 3 dollar signs, but we’re from a city where ..that means you’re paying $100+ a plate. Second, the meatloaf Wellington was delicious - that gravy was incredible and just MADE the plate. I had the Causeway Shrimp and I want to BATHE in that spicy creamy Cajun sauce. It was incredible. The staff was kind and the wine was good. All in all a true success.
Terrible experience all around. We had to go inside to find someone to come to the valet stand. We ended up parking our own car because it took so long. We went inside and it took forever for our server to come take our drink order. He was at the bar chatting with the bartender. There were 2 other tables occupied in the entire space. When the drinks arrived, they tasted like cough medicine. We ordered anyway because the reviews all day the food is good. After waiting 45 minutes for salmon and chicken, we were served our main course. The chicken was so dry and overcooked you could barely swallow it. The salmon was worse. It was as though someone had left both dishes in the oven the entire time we were waiting. The mashed potatoes tasted like the metal pan they were cooked in. The vegetable du jour was described by the server as squash, cucumber and onions, was in fact just very salty zucchini and yellow squash. All around not worth it given the wide variety of great restaurants to choose from nearby. Don't be fooled by the beautiful interior.
Stayed at the hotel so we ate here multiple times breakfast and dinners. Service was always great. Food was good overall. But, I was always disappointed with one item, you could tell it was sitting and got cold or just tasted like it was hanging out underneath a heat lamp.
I tried this place out for brunch and it was pretty tasty. I’m not sure if I would go here for “vibes” brunch should be total vibes and there were none here but the service was great and the food was standard. Worth a try!
Fantastic place for breakfast. Great menu for both simple fare and the more. Benny was amazing and so very helpful with it dietary restrictions. Dietary restrictions: Very helpful!
The food was delicious. My pork chop was cooked perfect and the sweet potatoes tasted great. My wife's steak was a little undercooked but still tasted good. Our server was polite but didn't seem to know much about the food being served and I found it odd that he asked how I wanted my pork cooked. Other than that our experience here was pleasant.
Came here to get a coffee and get work done out on the patio.. The customer service was elite. I felt taken care of, comfortable, and appreciated as a customer while also getting to enjoy a beautiful haven in the middle of downtown New Orleans... with fantastic wifi. Definitely stop by, whether its happy hour, morning coffee, or even for an overnight stay!
Food was amazing. They brought food to us because we wanted to eat it in the patio since we had a dog. The ribs special of the day, ceviche, and oysters on the half she'll were all great picks. Seems like you can't go wrong here. Chris, our server, and the whole staff was lovely and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend to others. Plus, it's in the NOPSI hotel which is a beautiful elegance on it's own.
